Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 release window revealed
A new trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 has revealed that it will land in January 2026. While there’s no specific date just yet, we can expect to find out in the weeks to come.
CrunchyrollMAPPA announced an adaptation of the Culling Game Arc right after Season 2 had finished.
However, there was a gap of over two years between the first and second seasons, so it’s no surprise Season 3 is following suit. During the wait, fans were treated to the compilation movie Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death, which dropped in US cinemas in July.
Ahead of the third chapter’s debut, we’ll be treated to another movie titled Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution. Not only will this feature a newly edited compilation of the Shibuya Incident arc, but it will also allow fans to watch the first two episodes of Season 3 early in a presentation subtitled ‘Culling Game Part 1’.

On August 31, 2025, Crunchyroll shared an English subbed version of the official teaser trailer, introducing us to the Culling Game arc of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3:
In just a few days, it’s racked up more than 6.7 million views, with fans exciting about what’s to come. “We are so back,” wrote one, while another said, “Well I can say, this truly is our Jujutsu Kaisen.”
A third added, “This whole trailer was hype but also JACKED MAKI finally getting her time to shine, let’s go! This season gonna be fire!”

In the Culling Game, jujutsu sorcerers are pitted against each other by Kenjaku as part of a ritual to generate a colossal amount of cursed energy in order to merge the population of Japan with Master Tengen.
CrunchyrollYuji and his friends wind up competing to save a fellow student, pushing them deep into the scheme before they can stop it.
It’s an action-packed storyline that presents plenty of opportunity for MAPPA to create more dazzling fight scenes and sequences. The scale and amount of characters will be a challenge for the studio, but nothing they won’t be able to overcome based on previous results — even if we get the best version on Blu-ray.
