Assassin’s Creed Shadows now has not one, but two battle passes for players to explore, granting legendary weapons, armor, and so much more.
Whether you’re playing as Naoe the deadly Shinobi or Yasuke the powerhouse Samurai, you’ll need the right weapons and armor in order to defeat the threats that come your way. Sure, you could explore the world looking in chests or looting bodies, or complete the game’s two battle passes.
If the battle passes are more your thing, then here’s all you need to know about them, including all the rewards and how to get more Data Fragments to unlock those items.
All Shadows Projects
Found in the save menu, when you press ESC or your respective button, Shadows’ battle passes are technically called Projects. They serve as optional extras for your adventure, offering Keys, weapons, crafting materials, data files, and more.
As it goes with most battle passes, you’ll need to collect the game’s currency, Data Fragments, to unlock each tier and get the rewards you want. The first tier of each costs 600 Data Fragments.
The Legacy
The Legacy holds Legendary items for both Yasuke and Naoe. Overall, there’s one Naginata and one Long Katana for Yasuke and a Hood and Kosode for Naoe. Aside from this, you can expect to earn 8,000 Keys and unlock a Trinket for Naoe. Along with Gold and Data Fragments.
Awakening
The Awakening battle pass unlocks a Tanto and a Katana for Naoe while offering Armor, an Amulet, and a Mask for Yasuke. Similar to The Legacy, Awakening offers 8,000 Keys, Gold, and Data Fragments along with the above rewards.

How to get Data Fragments
Data Fragments are the primary currency you’ll need to unlock battle passes. Thankfully, you can get them by completing missions in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Simply navigate to the Anomalies page by the Projects, and you’ll see a list of quests you can take part in, including Purging corrupt entities, stabilizing a tournament, mining echoes, and more.

Each will offer a different number of Data Fragments as a reward, so choose carefully. Though they will refresh once a week.
When you’ve chosen the task you want to complete, look for the corresponding sign on the expansive map, which is detailed in the image below.

Then, grab Naoe or Yasuke and head over to complete the task. Once you do, you’ll receive the Data Fragments and some XP for your troubles.
So, that’s all you need to know about the new Assassin’s Creed Shadows battle pass. While hunting down the anomalies, be sure to check out exactly when and where Shadows is set or take a look at more upcoming expansions and DLCs.
