According to a PlayStation content creator, the Trophies for Assassin’s Creed Shadows may not unlock if users lose online connectivity while playing.
While the Trophy/Achievement list for Assassin’s Creed Mirage proved manageable, the amount of time and effort required to Platinum or 100% Valhalla before it left a sour taste in the mouths of many.
Trophy and Achievement hunters were, thus, relieved to learn that AC Shadows would be far less daunting in this respect.
However, new information suggests the game may still throw one major curve ball in the community’s direction.
Trophies for Assassin’s Creed Shadows are already bugged
PowerPyx, known for creating Trophy guides, shared their guide and roadmap for the Assassin’s Creed Shadows list. The write-up labels the “estimated Trophy difficulty” as a 3.5 out of 10, but warns players of an obstacle that could crop up without notice.
Apparently, every Trophy is at risk of being glitched because Trophies won’t unlock if the game loses its connection to the Ubisoft servers.
This could prove problematic with late-game story Trophies since it’s possible they won’t unlock if a player encounters connectivity errors. With this in mind, PowerPyx states that the ‘Complete Act 2 of the main story’ Trophy is “particularly glitchy.”

The content creator also advises players to remain mindful about manual saves. Most notably, it’d be wise to save after defeating each of the 12 Onryo/Shinbakufu bosses in case a story-specific Trophy doesn’t pop as intended.

And if some Trophies fail to unlock at all, players can “link a new Uplay account to [their] profile, delete local saves, reinstall game and replay.”
Fans in the PlayStation subreddit have already expressed their frustration, with one person calling the online mandate “unacceptable” for a single-player game.
Though Ubisoft hasn’t addressed the matter as of writing, the hope is that it will resolve the issue soon after Assassin’s Creed Shadows officially launches.
