Battlefield’s upcoming battle royale mode has been added to the LABS playtests, and that means gameplay has already started leaking.
The BR mode was widely leaked through LABS’ game files before it was teased at the official reveal, and then confirmed in a September 10 tweet. They revealed some early details such as the insta-kill circle and class system, but also announced it’s coming to LABS.
Now that players can get their hands on it, gameplay leaks are coming in thick and fast, showing the deployment sequence, vehicle gameplay, contracts, and more.

The deployment sequence was uploaded to Reddit, showing the characters sitting in a helicopter waiting to redeploy. This is also where you’ll be able to choose which class you want to play as for the match, as well as their weapon loadout.
The players walk to the door in a sequence reminiscent of Warzone, but then it appears to borrow from Apex Legends, with the squad’s jump being controlled by one player unless they decide to split off from the group.
Despite choosing a loadout at the start of the match, they only had a pistol after landing, which supports early leaks that claimed you’d be able to acquire your custom-built weapons later in a match.
Another gameplay leak uploaded to Reddit showed RHIB Boat and tank gameplay. We can see a player driving the boat on the water, bringing up the map to show a huge coastal area.
The gameplay is in Chinese, but thanks to the translate app, we can see they’re completing a mission where they have to find explosives, plant them, and then defend them. Once completed, they get rewards such as armor, smoke grenades, and a key to acquire a tank.

The players take the key to a truck, where unlocking it grants them a tank. As they approached, they were told “no more second chances,” so it seems that once you hit a certain point in the game, you can no longer redeploy. They use the tank for a while before it gets blown up, and they’re out of the game.
Battlefield 6 releases on October 10, but we don’t know when the BR mode will release. Leaks claim it’ll be free-to-play when it does arrive, but you can check out how to sign up for Battlefield LABS to test it yourself in the meantime.
