Best guns in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded

Warzone‘s meta has shifted again following the launch of Season 5 Reloaded, so to make sure your classes are still competitive, you need to run the best guns.

While the mid-season update didn’t bring any new weapons, it brought game-changing buffs and nerfs, which means you’ll once again have to figure out what to use in Call of Duty‘s battle royale. After all, your old builds won’t necessarily cut it anymore if you want to win as many games as possible.

To help you figure out what to use in Verdansk and Rebirth Island, here are the top 10 guns in Warzone.

Best Warzone guns

These are the top ten weapons in Warzone following the Season 5 Reloaded update. We’ve ranked them based on our preference, but you’ll be able to use any weapon on this list and still be dominant, so give them all a try and see what suits your playstyle.

10. Grekhova

Activision / Dexerto

If you’re looking for a secondary weapon to run alongside a Gunfighter loadout, then look no further than the Grekhova.

This fully automatic pistol kills devastatingly quickly, and its fire rate makes it extremely easy to use. Of course, it won’t go toe-to-toe with the other weapons in this list in face-on-face fights, but if you need something to help you out in a pinch, it’s the perfect choice.

9. FFAR 1

Activision / Dexerto

The FFAR 1 was one of the best guns in Black Ops Cold War, and it’s back with a vengeance in Warzone. However, while it originally shone as an all-around AR, it’s best-suited as a sniper support weapon in Season 5 Reloaded.

Its low recoil and solid TTK make it a great partner to an HDR or any other sniper. Crucially, if you pair it with a sniper, you’ll have every range covered, as SMGs are only competitive up to around 20 meters in most cases. The only issue is that it’s quite hard to control, and its damage-per-mag falls short of others on the list.

So, if you want the most balanced class, here’s the best FFAR 1 loadout.

8. CR-56 AMAX

The CR-56 AMAX became meta again after getting its damage range buffed in Season 5, and only got better in the mid-season update.

While it’ll lose to other Assault Rifles at close range and has slightly unforgiving recoil, it barely has a damage drop-off. While other ARs start to lose their range between 40 and 50 meters, the AMAX deals the same damage all the way out to 70 meters, meaning it’s a perfect counter to snipers – if you can hit your shots.

While it’s not a laser like the Grau, it’s still a great choice in Season 5, and it’s even better with the best loadout.

7. LC10

Activision / Dexerto

The LC10 isn’t quite as good as the C9, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth using, as it’s still a great choice.

Although it’s not the be-all and end-all, it still has high close-range damage, low recoil, and good mobility, so if you like the feel of the weapon, you won’t be at any disadvantage using it in Season 5 Reloaded. To get the maximum range and damage out of it, here’s the best LC10 loadout.

6. XM4

The XM4 has returned to the meta after getting big buffs in Season 5 Reloaded – taking the place of the stealth-nerfed Grau 5.56

It was always low recoil and easy to use, but weak; but not anymore. Not only did its range get extended, but it also deals more damage to the head and torso. And if that’s not enough, it also had its bullet velocity increased. It’s just as easy to use, but much more powerful.

5. Ladra

The Ladra quickly became one of the best SMGs in Warzone and has held that spot in Season 5. While it lacks the versatility of something like the GPR, it more than makes up for it with great mobility and an insane TTK.

Its secret weapon is its fire rate, which is far faster than most guns in its class. So, if you’re hitting your shots, it absolutely melts through enemies in close-range fights.

4. HDR – Best sniper in Warzone

The HDR is the perfect Sniper Rifle in Warzone thanks to its ability to one-shot-headshot at any range and high bullet velocity. 

This sniper was a menace in the original Verdansk, and once again, you’ll need to keep an eye on rooftops and windows as, more likely than not, the last thing you see before going to the Gulag is the sniper glint from an HDR. Although it was nerfed again in Season 5 Reloaded, it’s still the king.

3. GPR 91

The GPR 91 received major buffs in Season 4 Reloaded, increasing its range and damage to the lower torso, and it has remained a deadly choice in Season 5 Reloaded.

What makes it so effective is its close-range damage, killing only slightly slower than the FFAR 1 while being much easier to use. While its damage drops severely at long range, it’s a fantastic option to pair with a Sniper Rifle or as a Rebirth Island primary with the right loadout.

2. C9 – Best SMG in Warzone

Despite a slight nerf to its range in Season 5 Reloaded, the C9 has retained its crown as the best SMG in Warzone.

It’s fast and easy to use, making it the perfect gun to get into enemies’ faces and delete them with a rapid TTK. Even with the nerf, it still has fantastic range for an SMG, which only solidifies its place as the number one close-range choice.

1. Kilo 141 – Best Assault Rifle

The Kilo 141 is the best Assault Rifle in Season 5 Reloaded and the best gun in the game, having a perfect balance between damage, range, and ease of use.

It was always easy to use, but buffs to its damage range and mobility have catapulted it into the top spot. If you’re looking for your classic medium to long-range Assault Rifle with low recoil and solid damage, then you don’t have to look any further than the Kilo.
