Black Ops 6 fans have big & “stupid” problem with long-awaited skin

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players have a big problem with a long-awaited skin that has finally been added to the game by Treyarch.

Over the last few years, Call of Duty has put an increased focus on microtransactions and cosmetics. This has divided the COD community, as some are happy to shell out for new skins, while others want the devs to “read the room” and focus on some of the issues and bugs.

That has continued in Black Ops 6. Well, if anything, it has actually increased. The newest COD release has had in-game events focused on Squid Game and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, with Treyarch stating that the “crazy” skins will continue to be released.

Yet, there have been other looks that fit the mili-sim style of things that some fans want. The most anticipated of those is the John Black Ops skin – a basic all-black look.

John Black Ops is actually a Crimson operator

That skin was finally added in the Black Ops Tribute Event at the start of Season 3 Reloaded. However, fans have got one big problem with it – he is actually a Crimson operator.

“Why is John Black Ops a Crimson operator?” one fan asked. “Given his surname wouldn’t he be a Black Op?” Others quickly chimed in with similar comments.

“That’s actually so stupid lmfao I know it’s not a big deal but holy s*it I’m losing it,” one said. “Why isn’t he a Member of the Black Ops team? Wouldn’t that make more sense?” another quizzed. “Crimson one has enough cool characters with cool skins, I think Rogue Black Ops deserved some love too,” added another.

Some pointed out that John Black Ops is actually a Pantheon solider from the campaign, but others aren’t sold. “The devs not making any sense as per usual,” argued another.

Others joked that maybe, just maybe, a Bob Crimson will be joining the Black Ops lineup before long to match up with John Black Ops.

Getting your hands on the new skin is a bit of a grind. You need to unlock all 10 event rewards from the Black Ops Tribute event. That will mean getting over 617,000 XP.
