Everything we know about Shattered Veil map in Black Ops 6 Zombies

Edward Richtofen in Black Ops 6 Zombies The Mansion map

Treyarch officially revealed Shattered Veil, the next map coming to Black Ops 6 Zombies, and we already have plenty of info about the setting and possible story.

Black Ops 6 Zombies players have been spoiled with content ever since launch. After the game launched with two brand-new maps, Citadelle des Morts and The Tomb were released alongside Season 1 and Season 2, respectively.

However, they’re showing no signs of slowing down as the next map has already been announced. So, here’s everything we know about Shattered Veil, previously referred to as “The Mansion.”

When does Shattered Veil arrive in BO6 Zombies?

The Shattered Veil Zombies map arrives on April 3 as part of Black Ops 6 Season 3. This is set to be one of Call of Duty’s biggest updates, bringing back fan-favorite weapons and Warzone’s Verdansk map.

Setting

Although we only have a few teasers so far, we already know Shattered Veil is set within Liberty Falls, one of the two launch maps in BO6 Zombies. It first appeared in the opening cinematic, although at this point it wasn’t clear what role it would play, if any, in the ongoing story.

Then, in the final cutscene of The Tomb’s Easter egg, the S.A.M AI confirmed that Shattered Veil’s mansion setting was in the same location. Players have also been able to spot the building in the background of Liberty Falls while using Chopper Gunner or Hellstorm Killstreaks.

We don’t know too much about the size of the map overall, but from the image shared it appears to be on the smaller side as it’s just one building. However, we know there are multiple levels, so there could be plenty more to see once you get under the surface.

Story

Little is known about the journey this new map will take us on, but we know from previous cinematics that the house belongs to Edward Richtofen, the creator of the Wunderwaffe Wonder Weapon. He was seen being chased through the building at the start of Liberty Falls and was mentioned by name in the first teaser image for the map.

The Tomb’s ending also revealed that the Artifact we collected at the end of that Easter egg now needs to be fused with something found in the mansion. This will likely take us to the underground laboratory area, which was shown previously.

What will the Wonder Weapon be?

There is currently no word on what the Wonder Weapon will be this time around, but there’s a strong chance that the classic Wonderwaffe DG-2 will return. Richtofen was seen using the powerful gun in the Liberty Falls cinematic and dataminers have spotted the name in the game’s files in previous updates.

We’ll likely get a closer look at Shattered Veil closer to the start of the season, so we’ll update this page with more details once they’re announced. In the meantime, check out everything else coming in Zombies Season 3.
