ActivisionTreyarch have made another change to how the carry forward system will work in Black Ops 7, this time allowing BO6 Zombies players to bring specific skins into the new game.
The carry forward feature has been a hot topic ever since Black Ops 7 was announced. At first, all skins and weapons from BO6 were supposed to be available in the follow-up, allowing fans to keep hold of their purchases and unlocks.
However, following backlash over crossover skins like Beavis and Butt-Head ruining the vibe, the devs backtracked, so they will now only be available in Warzone.
This also created issues, though, as Zombies fans were then frustrated that skins they unlocked for the four playable characters, who all return in BO7, would be lost. Now, the devs have listened to the feedback once again.
BO6 Zombies Easter egg skins will carry over to Black Ops 7
On September 10, the official Treyarch X account posted confirming that the four skins earned for completing main story Easter eggs in Zombies will carry over, as well as the Prestige Level 1000 skin.
“Heads up, Zombies players: any of the 4 Main Quest Operator Skin rewards earned in Black Ops 6 will be available in Black Ops 7 at launch!” said the post. “And for the truly dedicated, the “New Orders” Prestige Level 1000 Operator Skin reward will also be available for Samuels on day one.”
This means that the following skins will be waiting for you in Black Ops 7 right away, providing you’ve unlocked them already in BO6:
- Trophy Collector (Maya) – Complete Terminus main quest
- Jackknife (Weaver) – Complete Citadelle des Morts main quest
- PHDeadly (Carver) – Complete Shattered Veil main quest
- Blood, Sweat, an’ Gears (Grey) – Complete Reckoning main quest
- New Orders (Samuels) – Reach Prestige level 1000
So, while the other skins in your Black Ops 6 account, whether unlocked in-game or purchased through bundles, won’t follow you into the new game, you can rest assured that these five, which are given away for impressive feats, will.
