Fan-favorite COD killstreak is “annoying” to use in Black Ops 6

One of Call of Duty’s longest-standing killstreaks is actually quite “annoying” to use in Black Ops 6 as players want to see some changes made.

As Call of Duty has undergone some big changes in the last few years, some of the longest-serving features that fans love have fallen by the wayside. They either don’t fit into the game anymore or the devs have simply wanted to try something new.

We’ve seen this with loadouts changing, classic perks being used as Field Upgrades, and a few other things as well.

There are, of course, some iconic features that have stuck around. That includes on the killstreak front too, with Care Packages – which have been a mainstay since Modern Warfare 2 (2009) – still being used.

Care Packages take too long to drop in Black Ops 6

However, the fan-favorite killstreak has got some problems in Black Ops 6, including just how long it takes to actually call one in.

“Care Packages drop too slow,” Redditor F1R3Starter83 complained. “The drop time of a care package is just too long. If I pop the flare have the time to engage and kill two enemies, it should have dropped already.”

Other players agreed, with one comparing the wait time to defending a Hardpoint by yourself. “It’s annoying, especially with the lack of teamwork,” another added. “You’re not wrong. I don’t run them because it takes me out of the fight too long,” another chimed in.

The other big issue that players have continued to flag revolves around the capture speed. For the first time in forever, the speed at which a teammate captures your care package has increased.

Players are still hoping that gets rectified. “This is the one thing that pisses me off. I can handle losing it to an enemy but when a teammate spawns in, sees me, and steals it right in front of me. They have absolutely no shame,” another fan added.

These issues are making the killstreak be used less often too. “I’m prestige 10 level 45. Never even seen one dropped yet,” one player chimed in.

If these tweaks were to be added, they’d likely come in a big seasonal update. The next one of those is April 3, with the Season 3 patch. So, we’ll have to wait and see.
