New York Subliners make improbable run to win CDL Major 1

Kismet put up an MVP performance, helping lead the New York Subliners to a CDL Major 1 victory.

Scrappy dug into his bag of tricks and pulled out the first 40-kill match of the 2023 CDL season. His performance helped Toronto send the defending world champion LA Thieves home packing. Clayster dialed back the clock, leading Vegas to a franchise-best top 6 finish.

New York shook off technical issues and bounced back strong with its new-look roster, while Atlanta and Seattle cruised into a highly anticipated winners final matchup. The Surge will be out for revenge after losing 3-0 to the FaZe in pool play.

CDL Major 1 stream & schedule

Major 1 will be streamed live on the Call of Duty Twitch channel, as well as on the official CDL website. Players can choose between the Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta streams by selecting to view in the Twitch Command Center.

The tournament started on Wednesday, December 14, with the Challengers qualifiers, as well as the tiebreaker match between LA Thieves and London Royal Ravens to decide which group they went into, as they finished their qualifying matches level. The Group Stage of the Pro-Am, with all 12 CDL teams and 4 amateur teams, started on December 15. The tournament will end on Sunday, December 18.
