MW2 & MW3 guns are finally good in Warzone again

Warzone character in Season 3 Reloaded

Warzone’s meta is about to get a lot more competitive after a host of popular guns from MW2 and MW3 were given substantial buffs to make them more deadly.

To mark the return of Verdansk, many weapons were given huge buffs to bring the TTK more in line with how it was in the original Warzone. However, this was limited to Black Ops 6 guns, meaning the likes of the Cypher 091 and AK-74 have been the only options that stand a chance against the Grau and AMAX.

The devs promised that a wider variety of guns would also be improved in the future, and the Season 3 Reloaded update is the first step in the right direction, with many of the best Modern Warfare 2 and 3 guns finally getting their buffs.

Warzone Season 3 Reloaded brings huge buffs to MW3 & MW2 guns

The mid-season update patch notes outlined plenty of buffs and nerfs across the board, but fans immediately noticed how many older weapons were included. Although not every MW3 and MW2 gun was included, many of the most popular did feature.

For example, Assault Rifles like the TAQ-56 (MW2) and Holger 556 (MW3) saw their damage values increased at all ranges. In some cases, they go as high as 40 damage at mid-long ranges, drastically improving their TTK and making them real competitors to the BO6 guns.

They also received a shot of other tweaks, such as increased bullet velocity and reduced visual recoil, in an effort to make them more accurate and easier to use.

It’s a similar story in other categories, with SMGs, in particular, getting hefty buffs. The WSP-9 (MW3) and MX9 (MW2) benefited the most, as they now deal 45 and 38 damage, respectively, at around 11-12 meters.
