There is a brand-new emote in Warzone that has already been labeled “pay to win” by quite a few players, as it is one of the most “busted” add-ons yet.
Call of Duty has always had some type of cosmetic and add-on that players can splash out on. However, they have ramped up in the last few years, much to the annoyance of a majority of fans.
These add-ons are not supposed to offer a competitive advantage, or even disadvantage, but there have been plenty of examples of them doing just that. The “pay to win” cosmetics are the most controversial, simply because you can get a leg up on players who don’t want to shell out some cash.
Fans have called for the devs to “read the room” and make sure there isn’t too much of a focus on cosmetics while the game has issues. However, these add-ons continue to be rolled out.
Cardboard Commando emote is pay to win in Black Ops 6
That has been the case again in Black Ops 6 with a new emote that comes in the Cardboard Commando bundle. As the name suggests, the bundle gives everything a cardboard look, but the emote allows you to hop inside a cardboard box for a few seconds and spring a surprise on unsuspecting players.
It has quickly been labelled “pay to win” by a number of players, including YouTuber ElvisCOD who said: “It can work. It will work. If you want to mess around in-game and troll people with it, it is a really good emote to do that.”
Others, though, were a bit more annoyed. “Gotta love the monthly pay to win bundle. Good thing the store keeps getting promoted!” one said. “Bad players will not be able to tell. Classic COD P2W bundles,” another added, with another calling it the “most broken emote in Warzone history.”

Some, though, aren’t sold on it being totally viable. The size of the cardboard does make it stand out a fair bit, but there plenty of clips of players being bamboozled.
“I don’t understand how people see an oversized cardboard box and go ‘yeah that looks totally normal’,” another said.
