Popular Black Ops 6 rifles meta in Warzone again as they “absolutely melt”

A number of popular rifles are meta once again in Warzone as they “absolutely melt” following Black Ops 6’s Season 5 Reloaded update.

Whenever Call of Duty releases a new seasonal update, the go-to meta regularly shifts. This might be because the developers have released a new weapon or the previously dominant choice has been nerfed. 

With Season 5 Reloaded, the CoD developers showed some love to weapons that had been fan-favorites previously but had also slipped away in recent months. The CR-56 AMAX, for example, forms one half of the fastest Time to Kill loadout in Warzone. 

However, the Amax isn’t the only popular gun on the rise. There are a few, including the Kilo-141, that are back to being meta in the Call of Duty battle royale.

AK-74, Kilo, and XM4 are meta again in Warzone

Warzone guru WhosImmortal highlighted some of the new go-to options in his September 13 video, starting with the AK-74. 

“To me, the damage is there, the range is there, the velocity is there. If you can master the recoil here, this is a meta choice,” he said. “This thing absolutely melts, especially on Rebirth.” 

The YouTuber also pointed to the Kilo 141 taking a leap too following the buffs to its range. “This thing got a nice buff. This is something that makes the Kilo a truly absolute meta option. This thing is low recoil, its an absolute lazer beam,” he added.

WhosImmortal also showed some love to the XM4, popping it into his absolute meta category of weapons. 

“I think it is so easy to use, and it’s TTK is so competitive through 60 meters or so that it be absolute meta – especially for Rebirth,” he added. However, he noted the rifle will “struggle” on Verdansk just because some gunfights are going to be beyond its effective range. 

So, be sure to change up your loadouts because the oldies are back on the rise.
