Destiny 2 Unfall god roll for PvE & how to get

destiny 2 unfall featured

Destiny 2‘s mid-season Ash & Iron update introduced a bunch of new weapons to chase, including Unfall, a shiny sidearm that belongs to one of the looter shooter’s strongest archetypes.

As only the second Arc-element Rocket-Assisted Sidearm to grace the sandbox, Unfall has been a long time coming, especially as Indebted Kindness, previously the only weapon of its kind, was soft sunset with Edge of Fate‘s Featured Gear system.

Now, though, Unfall completely overtakes its forbear in the sandbox, boasting an incredible perk pool that, as all meta-defining weapons do, will force you to choose between some delectable rolls.

Unfall god roll for PvE – Meta analysis

  • Barrel: Quick Launch
  • Magazine: Tactical Mag
  • Perk 1: Impulse Amplifier or Lead From Gold
  • Perk 2: Jolting Feedback or Rolling Storm
  • Masterwork: Velocity

As expected, Velocity remains a key stat you’ll want to prioritize while hunting Unfall. The higher this is, the faster its sluggish projectiles will be, indirectly increasing DPS and accuracy. Quick Launch and a Velocity Masterwork are must-haves for this reason.

Branching into core perks, you’ve got some options. Impulse Amplifier boosts Velocity even further while providing a bump to reload speed, but opting for that perk means you’ll be missing out on Lead From Gold‘s excellent ammo generation. If you can, try both and see which one better suits your needs.

For the second perk column, it’s a toss-up between Jolting Feedback and Rolling Storm. Which you prefer here largely comes down to whether you intend to use Unfall as an add-clear tool or for single-target DPS on chunkier targets.

If used as an all-purpose weapon, the former will likely prove better, although the latter’s ability to massively speed up Bolt Charge generation shouldn’t be overlooked, especially for Titans, which can combine Rolling Storm with the Storm’s Keep Aspect for powerful synergy.

How to get Unfall

As with most weapons added in Edge of Fate, target farming Unfall isn’t as straightforward as it could be. Currently, the weapon only drops from Solo and Fireteam Ops activities.

Completing any mission in these categories has a chance to drop Unfall, but to expedite your farm, be on the lookout for any mission that has the weapon as a featured reward. This will guarantee at least one drop of Unfall upon completion.

That’s a wrap on everything you need to know about Unfall, but it’s far from the only weapon dominating Destiny 2 right now. Check out our god roll guides for Everburning Glitz and Synanceia for more build ideas.
