Warlord’s Ruin is one of the most popular dungeons in Destiny 2, with its loot table being a big reason why so many players keep coming back.
Released in Lightfall, this challenging activity features three encounters that require you and your fireteam to use the Best PvE Weapons to overcome them. The rewards for doing so includes a meta Exotic and a Rocket Sidearm that remains a top-tier option to this day.
Of course, that’s not all, as there’s also unique armor up for grabs and some rare cosmetic items that let you show off. If you’re interested in learning more, here’s the full Warlord’s Ruin loot table that you can farm.

Loot table explained
Farming the loot in Warlord’s Ruin is entirely dependant on RNG, with none of the listed weapons being craftable or having any form of bad luck mitigation. Instead, you’ll need to complete encounters over and over until you get the roll you want.
The only thing you can do to increase your chances is looting the hidden chests that are found throughout the dungeon. These will drop a random roll of a weapon or armor piece you have already found, so it’s worth looking out for them as you progress through the dungeon.
Exotic Weapon – Buried Bloodline

- Archetype: Void Sidearm
- Exotic Perks: Hungering Quarrel, Violent Reanimation
- Catalyst: Splitvein Lineage
- While Devour is active, this weapon weakens on hit.
Buried Bloodline can be obtained as a random drop after defeating Hefnd’s Vengeance, the final encounter of Warlord’s Ruin.
Although Bungie has never revealed the exact odds of receiving a dungeon Exotic, the base rate is believed to be around 1 in 20 (5%). However, this can be increased by completing specific triumphs, which is well worth doing to speed up the grind.
As for the weapon itself, Buried Bloodline is an exceptional option that is among the best Exotic weapons in Destiny 2. This is especially true when used with a Void build, where its ability to Weaken enemies while also healing you gives it immense utility.
Related
Despite its appearance as a pistol crossbow, Buried Bloodline is coded as a Rocket Sidearm. That’s by no means a bad thing, with this archetype being among the best in the sandbox due to their fantastic ammo economy and solid damage. These benefits apply to this Exotic too, making it a must-have for Guardians of all skill levels.
Legendary weapons and perks

---|---|---|---|
![]() Dragoncult Sickle | Strand Sword (Caster) | Assassin’s Blade Demolitionist Duelist’s Trance Slice Tireless Blade Unrelenting | Attrition Orbs Chain Reaction Golden Tricorn Hatchling Surrounded Whirling Blade |

![]() Vengeful Whisper | Strand Bow (Precision) | Archer’s Tempo Enlightened Action Explosive Head Hip-Fire Grip Keep Away Slice | Collective Action Hatchling High Ground Offhand Strike Precision Instrument Successful Warm-Up |
Warlord’s Ruin offers four legendary weapons, making this one of the smallest loot tables of any raid or dungeon. Of these, Indebted Kindness is by far the biggest attraction, as it is a meta archetype with exciting PvE perks like Lead From Gold + Voltshot.
The only other weapon you need to worry about is Vengeful Whisper, which is currently the only Strand Bow in the sandbox. Ideally, you want a roll with Archer’s Tempo + Precision Instrument or Explosive Head + Hatchling, with rolls focusing on DPS and add-clear respectively.
Unfortunately, both Dragoncult Sickle and Naeem’s Lance are fairly poor weapons that aren’t worth farming. The former has been superseded by Abyssal Edge and the latter was never useful to begin with, as Naeem’s Lance has one of the worst perk pools of any Lightfall-era weapon.

Like with other dungeons, Warlord’s Ruin has 15 armor pieces on offer, with 5 for each class. You can only earn drops for the class you are playing, so Hunters will earn the five Hunter drops, Titans the five Titan drops, and so on.
Additionally, this armor can be Artifice if you complete runs of Warlord’s Ruin on Master difficulty. These drops will be enhanced, allowing you to add a bonus +3 to any stat. Truthfully, these aren’t worth farming, but it can be useful to at least get an Artifice Class Item, as these give you free extra stats with no downsides.

Is Warlord’s Ruin farmable?
Ordinarily, this dungeon will only drop one item per encounter each week, so you can’t keep farming it until you get the roll you want. However, if Warlord’s Ruin is the featured dungeon, this limit is removed, making the grind for god rolls and craftable weapons much faster.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t apply to Buried Bloodline, with the dungeon’s Exotic still only dropping once per week even when featured. As such, if you are specifically hunting for the Exotic, you’ll only want to do one run per week and then move on to other content.
Be sure to check out the dungeon rotation schedule for more information on when Warlord’s Ruin will next be featured to plan ahead and make sure you don’t miss out.
