Destiny Rising current & upcoming character banner for September 2025

Destiny Rising New character Estela

Destiny Rising has a wide range of characters that can be earned by spending Bon Voyage Charms to have a chance of pulling them from featured and permanent banner events.

Similar to other gacha games like Genshin Impact, some of these banners are only available for a limited time, rotating in and out of availability on a schedule.

While your chances of pulling these characters at base odds are low, Destiny Rising features a built-in bad luck mitigation mechanic, guaranteeing a character pull after a certain number of attempts.

As of writing, only three characters are locked behind a limited-time banner, with several others available in a permanent banner option. Here’s everything you need to know about the current rotation.

What is the current Destiny Rising banner?

Two banners are available in Destiny Rising. The permanent “Rising Lights” continues to feature the base roster, while the new limited-time draw, “The Sun’s Shadow,” adds Mythic Estela and Legendary Umeko.

The Sun’s Shadow

Estela

Estela is the big headliner of Season 1. She’s a Mythic Solar Lightbearer built for offense, wielding Pulse Rifles and Machine Guns. You’ll find her on the new limited-time banner, “The Sun’s Shadow,” which kicked off on September 11 and runs for about four weeks.

Umeko

Sharing the spotlight is Umeko, a Legendary Void support who fights with a Scout Rifle and Sniper Rifle. She joins Estela on “The Sun’s Shadow” banner and, being a Legendary, should be easier to pull.

The Rising Lights

The Rising Lights is a permanent banner that also features built-in bad luck mitigation. A Mythic-rarity character (Gwynn excluded) is guaranteed after reaching a certain number of pulls.
