Destiny Rising, like most free-to-play mobile games, is packed with events for players to engage with to earn lucrative free rewards needed to unlock the best characters, but they’re not always available.
Developer NetEase has ensured Lightbearers have plenty of reasons to engage with Destiny Rising’s numerous activities beyond standard completion rewards. Almost all types of content, from the game’s campaign to PvP, account progression, and character quests, are tied to an event boasting additional rewards for your efforts.
Some of these are permanent while others are only available for a limited time. We’ve put together a list of every currently active event, what they entail, and the rewards up for grabs to help you pick and choose where best to invest your playtime.
All active Destiny Rising events in September 2025
Benediction Day

Launched alongside Season 1 and Mythic character Estela, Benediction Day allows players to earn, purchase, and exchange other currencies for Crystalline Sprouts. These can then be spent to reduce the Silver price of Estela’s Relic and Character Ornament skins by a random amount.
Any Sprouts spent will also reward Crystalline Blossoms, which can be exchanged in-game for various items.
Benediction Day ends on October 8.
Ascending Lights

Ascending Lights is an event designed to help new players jumpstart their Team Level by providing huge stores of experience for completing various challenges. These reset every day for the duration of the event, and are only available to players with a Team Level lower than 65.
Ascending Lights ends on October 1.
Wish’s Erebus

Wish’s Erebus grants a one-time reward for completing Estela’s character quest before the event ends. Upgrade materials, currency, and Charms needed for character draws are all up for grabs for the duration.

Estela’s Arrival

Just like Memento Mori did for Gwynn, Estela’s Arrival grants players a guaranteed unlock for Mythic character Estela if they haven’t already received her after 60 draw attempts.
Estela’s Arrival ends on October 8.
New Light Challenges

New Light Challenges are a new player’s gateway to earning some additional rewards by completing various early-game objectives. With no expiration date, you can take these tasks at your own pace, working through 14 ranks of bite-sized objectives for premium and earnable currencies.
Completing the entire event provides a Character Choice Bundle, allowing you to choose between adding Legendary-rarity characters Finnala or Xuan Wei to your roster permanently.
Bear the Light (August 28 – September 26)

Bear the Light requires you to complete campaign chapters and rank up your Team Level to earn currency and all-important “Bon Voyage” Charms, required to engage with Destiny Rising’s gacha system. Lumina Leaves earned here can also be converted to Charms to increase your number of draws for additional characters and other rewards.
Completing every Bear the Light challenge before the event ends unlocks a redemption code for the Starboard Forward Emblem in Destiny 2.
Purchase Bonuses

The Purchase Bonus event runs until November 6, 2025, providing additional rewards based on cumulative Silver purchases. Rather than work towards completing in-game objectives for rewards, however, this promotion provides additional bonuses based on your cumulative purchases of Destiny Rising’s premium Silver currency.
To unlock every reward offered here, you’ll need to spend over $100 on Silver. While it’s another source of Charms, there are easier, cheaper ways to obtain these. Remaining unlocks are cosmetic-only skins for Wolf, so use that knowledge to inform your decision.
Spreading Light (August 28 – September 26)

Spreading Light is one of the best currently available events to earn Charms from, requiring no additional purchase. Instead, you’ll need to use your unique invite code to invite other prospective Lightbearers to start playing Destiny Rising.
The more new users who sign up and use your code, the more rewards you’ll earn, including Charms and Lumia Leaves.
Memento Mori (August 28 – September 25)

Memento Mori comes in two parts. The first requires you to complete Mythic-rarity character Gwynn’s introductory character quest. This provides several rewards, including currency, enhancement materials, and Charms, and can be completed during the campaign without having to unlock the character.
The second part of the event is a Limited-Time Draw that makes Gwynn a guaranteed drop from Charms as a permanent roster addition if you haven’t already received her after 60 Draws.
14-Day Sign-In

The 14-Day Sign-In event is a recurring login bonus that remains active indefinitely. You just need to log in across any 14 days to claim all rewards, including two Exotic weapons.
Of particular note are the 7 and 14-day login bonuses, which each award an Exotic weapon of your choice from a predetermined pool. It’s worth noting that these logins do not need to be sequential, so don’t worry if you miss a day – progress won’t be reset.
s on Discord, X/Twitter, or Facebook will award 800 Lumia Leaves, enhancement materials, and Glimmer.
Rewards Guide (August 28 – September 25)

The Rewards Guide event is the single most important promotion for players looking to limit their spending in Destiny Rising. By completing quests in the game’s Handbook – consisting entirely of in-game objectives – a total of 132 Charms can be obtained without having to spend real money.
Likewise, over 13,000 Lumia Leaves, which can be converted into additional Charms, can be obtained through the event by increasing your account’s Triumph score, completing character quests, and increasing reputation in exploration zones.
Social Media

Another quick and easy source of Lumia Leaves. The Social Media event requires you to join or follow official Destiny Rising social media accounts. Rewards are provided per account followed or joined. Discord, Facebook, and X/Twitter combined provide a total of 90 Lumia Leaves.
