Destiny Rising’s Haven hub area is filled with secrets to find and score some easy rewards, including resident cats that, yes, encourage you to pet them.
First, however, you’ll have to find the city’s feline residents, and just like real-world cats, they’re hard to pin down and have a habit of winding up in the strangest places.
Similar to Destiny 2, Destiny Rising features a Daily Reset – a set time each day where various types of content refresh for the following 24 hours, including the Cat’s location.
That being the case, you can return to Haven each day to find and pet the four-legged friend for additional rewards. Additionally, petting the Cat is a recurring Challenge with its own rewards, and if you’ve been dabbling in fishing, the obligate carnivore can also be fed its favorite fish for even more goodies.
With all that in mind, here’s where to find the Cat in Destiny Rising on September 22.

On September 22, you can find a cat sitting on the edge of some potted plants next to The Speaker in the Garden. Stand close to the Cat to trigger the Pet prompt. Doing so will grant you some fishing-related currency rewards as well as complete any current Challenges requiring you to fuss over the animal.
It’s worth noting that while Cat locations change daily, they will always appear in Haven, meaning you needn’t worry about searching other zones for them.
What’s the Cat’s preferred food today?
On September 22, the Cat’s preferred food is Long Fish.
You are, of course, free to feed the Cat any catches you’ve obtained from fishing in any zone, but pandering to the feline’s tastes will provide greater rewards, including Glimmer and other materials.
