Diablo Immortal Season 43 is here, but which character should you choose? Here’s a breakdown of every class ranked for PVP and PVE with Diablo Immortal’s tier lists.
As in other games like Diablo 3, some characters stand out more than others depending on the Season. With Diablo Immortal now in Season 43, it’s time to break down the game‘s characters into Diablo Immortal’s tier lists and work out who’s the best demon slayer – at least for this season.
We’ve ranked each of the classes in Diablo Immortal for Season 43, then provided a tier list of which builds work best for both PVP and PVE. Our tier list also reflects the game’s most recent balance changes, which affected some of the available classes.
This way, not only will you be able to select the best characters this season, you’ll know exactly where to use them.

Best class tier list for PvE
Tier | Class |
---|---|
S-Tier | Druid, Crusader, Necromancer, Tempest |
A-Tier | Barbarian, Wizard |
B-Tier | Blood Knight, Demon Hunter |
C-Tier | Monk |
Crusader is a strong pick in the current meta, especially when it comes to PvE. Not only does it have decent damage, but this class is also great at buffing allies, tackling a swarm of enemies, and even providing crowd control. It has the proper kit that everyone can benefit from, which is why it deserves to be in the S-tier.
The Druid has landed in Season 43 and it’s already turning heads. With fast melee bursts, solid AoE control, and shapeshifting tools that boost survivability, it covers a lot of ground. In PvE, it shreds mobs with ease.
Necromancer, on the other hand, has excellent survivability if you play with the right build, as there are so many ways you can play around with wraith form. As for Tempest, thanks to its versatility and sustained damage, it’s still yet to be knocked off from the highest tier.
Related
The Barbarian and Wizard are close behind them in A-tier, with the latter being one of the best support classes out there. With Blood Knight and Demon Hunter placed in B-tier, Monk is still the only class in the C-tier this season due to the nerfs. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play this class entirely if you enjoy it, it’s just that it needs some more adjustments to make it more viable.
Best Classes for PvP
Tier | Class |
---|---|
S-Tier | Crusader, Barbarian |
A-Tier | Necromancer, Tempest |
B-Tier | Demon Hunter, Monk, Druid |
C-Tier | Wizard, Blood Knight |
When it comes to PvP, the Crusader and the Barbarian sit at the very top. Both classes thrive in frontline fights, using their tankiness and pressure to dominate objectives and overwhelm enemies. Their ability to sustain themselves while disrupting opponents is unmatched in the current meta.
Right below them are the Necromancer and Tempest, both of which still bring strong offensive options. The Necromancer’s summons and control keep it relevant, while the Tempest offers excellent burst potential and mobility, though both lack the sheer dominance of the S-tier picks.
In B-tier, you find the Demon Hunter, Monk, and Druid. The Demon Hunter has tools to deal damage but needs gear investment to shine. The Monk still has mobility and one-on-one power but cannot provide enough team support. The Druid, while improved in survivability, is inconsistent overall and struggles to keep pace with the higher tiers.
At the bottom are the Wizard and Blood Knight. The Wizard remains fragile in PvP and is punished heavily when caught out. The Blood Knight, meanwhile, lacks tankiness and consistent damage, leaving hit-and-run as its only viable option. Neither class can reliably keep up with the others in August’s PvP meta.
Our tiers explained
Here is a shorthand for how each tier breaks down:
- S-tier: The best characters in the game
- A-tier: Very good characters offering an alternative to other options
- B-tier: There might be situations where these characters can perform well
- C-tier: Best to avoid unless you find yourself drawn to them
Bear in mind, that this is simply based on the current rankings for this season and is liable to change next season. As you can see, just because a character is effective in PVE doesn’t mean they’re as useful in PVP and vice versa.
This means that by next season, the rankings could look very different. So, if your favorite classes aren’t scoring well this season, fear not, they may be Diablo and his brother’s worst nightmare next season.
Blood Knight and Tempest are the newest characters we’ve added as they weren’t available at launch, and we’ll be sure to add more once new classes are available.
Diablo Immortal classes breakdown
Here’s an explanation of each character class and an appraisal of how effective they are this season, in both PvE and PvP.
Druid

The Druid brings mobility, disruption, and survivability to PvP, using fast combos and crowd control to keep enemies off balance.
It has the tools to tank damage, reposition quickly, and punish overextended opponents, making it a strong pick in skilled hands, especially for PvE.
However, the latest meta shift has pushed it down slightly, as Barbarian and Wizard dominate the spotlight with raw power and consistency. While still viable, the Druid now feels more situational, rewarding experienced players who can maximize its toolkit rather than standing out as a clear favorite.
Barbarian

The Barbarian is the most powerful physical fighter in Diablo Immortal and has mastery over axes and heavy weapons. They’re reliable in PvE this season and top of the tree when it comes to PvE. We don’t think the class will move too far down the meta anytime soon as they’re a solid choice for all playstyles.
Necromancer

The Necromancer is the classic summoner class that uses skeletons and golems to support them in battle while they blast enemies with bone and blood magic. The class generally performs well this season in terms of PvE and PvP, ranked as S and A in both metas, respectively. For those who can’t live without minions, this class will still serve you well.
Wizard

Diablo Immortal’s answer to the Sorcerer, the Wizard is the classic caster build in the mobile game and is for those who want to play as a glass cannon, hanging back and blasting enemies with spells. The class is fine to use in PvE as it can provide great support, but not recommended for PvP this season. To be fair, caster classes are usually overpowered in PvE but fall short in PvP in Diablo games.
Monk

Returning from Diablo 3, the Monk uses martial arts to destroy their enemies and can be deadly in close combat. They’re quite low on the PvE meta this season but can still do some damage in PvP when in the right hands. However, better classes are available this season. Don’t be afraid to use them though, the Monk has been top of the meta in both PvP and PvE in Diablo Immortal many times.
Crusader

The Crusader is Diablo Immortal’s holy warrior option and smites their enemies with heavy swords and shields while protected from harm in their dense armor. The class is exceptional in PvP this season and is also a great choice for PvE. We’d argue that the Crusader is the best class this season, followed by the Barbarian and Tempest.
Demon Hunter

The Demon Hunter is the rogue class in Diablo Immortal, using traps, crossbows, and knives to take down the hordes of Hell. They’re a solid choice this season for both PvE and PvP, being ranked as A-class in both categories. This is a great class to play if you want to take part in both solo and multiplayer. However, the drawback is that it’s a squishy class, meaning that you can easily die if you get caught by crowd control abilities.
Blood Knight

The Blood Knight thrives on vampiric powers and agile hit-and-run tactics, giving it a distinctive playstyle in PvP.
While it still has moments of effectiveness, its lack of tankiness, limited support options, and underwhelming offensive power have caused it to slide down the rankings.
With Tempest, Barbarian, and Wizard commanding the current meta, the Blood Knight struggles to keep pace and often feels fragile in sustained fights. Right now, it sits as a lower-tier option, fun for experimentation but overshadowed by stronger, more reliable choices in this season’s PvP landscape.
Tempest

The Tempest was added to Diablo Immortal in 2024 and is absolutely slaying it in PvE, reigning at the top of the meta – where we expect they’ll stay for a long time. The class uses a mixture of AOE spells and temporary minions to do their damage, and this hybrid playstyle is deadly in PvE. The Tempest is effective in PvE this season, but they lose out to the more powerful Barbarian and Crusader when it comes to PvP.
Take the rankings into consideration, but most of all, play with the characters you most enjoy. Remember to check out our Best builds for all character classes guide.
