EA SPORTSEA FC 25 has one last promo up its sleeve, and the Pre-season event gives the opportunity to both upgrade their teams one more time and get a head start in EA FC 26.
The lifecycle of EA FC 25 is coming to an end, as attention starts to turn towards the next game. However, this season’s Ultimate Team isn’t quite finished yet, as there’s still one more promo to come once FUTTIES wraps up.
Pre-season is set to bring this era of Ultimate Team to a close, while also letting fans prepare for the new season, so here’s everything you need to know about the promo.
When is EA FC 25 Pre-season promo?
There is currently no official release date for the Pre-season event, but we expect it to kick off on Friday, August 15, 2025, the same day that FUTTIES Team 5 leaves packs. This is also the day after EA FC 25 Season 10 gets underway, which is set to be the final season of this year’s game.
However, nothing has been confirmed by the devs just yet, so it’s possible that it could take place the following week on August 22.

Pre-season has become a staple of Ultimate Team in recent years and always serves as the final promo before a new game launches.
The main highlight is that it offers opportunities to earn free packs, which carry over to EA FC 26. While these usually contain lower-rated players and will be mostly untradeable, it’s a great way to make that early grind easier by receiving players that can be used for SBCs or placed straight into your team.

Leaks have also revealed that there will be SBCs to complete, with the rewards being upgraded versions of players who have transferred over the summer.
On top of all that, it also brings another Best Of release, meaning that some of the most valuable cards released throughout FC 25 will return to packs one final time. So, if there’s a particular card that you missed out on when the original promo was live, this is the perfect time to finally grab it.
How to get EA FC 26 rewards during Pre-season
You’ll be able to earn EA FC 26 rewards during the Pre-season promo by completing in-game objectives. There is already an 84+ x5 Player Pack on offer for completing the Season Ladder, and there will be even more once the full promo goes live.
These will be revealed once the event gets underway, but they will likely task you with winning matches or scoring goals using players from specific leagues and nations.
Then, once you’ve earned all of your packs, they will appear for you to open in EA FC 26 shortly after launch. We’ll be sure to update this section with all of the objectives and the release date once it’s confirmed.

A number of transfer cards are already available through the Season Ladder, which you can earn by completing objectives for XP. They are:
