FaZe Temperrr and Rain controversy explained: Temperrr cut from FaZe after Rain’s accusations

FaZe Clan co-founders Thomas ‘Temperrr’ Oliveira and Nordan ‘Rain’ Shat sparked a public dispute, after Rain accused Temperrr of inappropriate conduct with minors, and Temperrr fired back by accusing him of blackmail.
The situation escalated further, and Temperrr has now been cut from the FaZe organization.
Rain’s accusations against Temperrr
During a September 14 livestream, Rain claimed he left FaZe Clan over what he described as a “pedophile” situation. He alleged that Temperrr once told him: “Bro, I’m not going to lie, I had a threesome with two 16-year-olds.”
In a follow-up, Rain said that in a later conversation, Temperrr adjusted the story, saying: “It wasn’t a threesome with two 16-year-olds, actually, it was a 17-year-old. One was 17, and the other one watched.” He also accused Temperrr of justifying the situation by referencing age of consent laws.
Rain said he had informed other FaZe members, including Banks, Apex, and former CEO Lee Trink, before making the allegations public. Rain added, “I feel horrible man. I wish it never happened. I’m sorry I didn’t speak out sooner. Part of the reason I left FaZe was because of it.”
Banks also issued a statement, after speculation that Rain may have been talking about him, denying it and revealing it was Temperrr.
Temperrr responds
Temperrr acknowledged an encounter “years ago” in New York, explaining that after he met girls at a 21+ club, he went back to a hotel with them. “I end up going back with these girls to my hotel room. … I slept with one of them, and I found out after that this girl was 17, and that is the age of consent in New York, but regardless, I was sick to my stomach. It was just extremely uncomfortable knowing that and thinking about this situation.”

He stressed that he believed everyone involved was of legal age because they were in a club with an age restriction. “This allegation of me being called a pedophile is f**king insane. Anybody that knows me knows that I am not a pedophile or even anything close to that, including Nordan himself.”
Temperrr also accused Rain of attempting to use the allegations as leverage. “Even though when you first brought this up a year ago, and I believe that you brought it up just for money purposes, that you wanted money out of FaZe. Like, you stated that a year ago during our conversation with me, Banks, and Apex. You stated, ‘If you don’t get paid that, you are going to air this out.’ That is blackmail.”
He described the personal fallout as severe, saying: “When I bring my son to school, right, and the other parents get to figure out who his dad is, and now, they’re associating me with that word. You don’t even understand the levels of damage that you’ve just inflicted into my life, into my family’s life. It’s everything that I have built.”
Temperrr removed from FaZe roster
On September 15, FaZe posted a full list of all content creators part of the organization, with Temperrr conspicuously absent.
Temperrr shared an update confirming he had been removed from FaZe’s roster. “Yesterday I watched someone I once called a brother go online, call me a pedophile, and laugh about it. Today, I was cut off the roster,” he wrote.
“I’ve given my heart and soul to this brand for 15+ years, and then one of the people I built it with attaches my name to the most foul, untrue word imaginable. That moment overshadowed everything I sacrificed and caused real damage to me and my family.”
Temperrr criticized how the situation was handled internally, saying: “Instead of a call or text, I was just cut off the roster today. No conversation. Nothing from the people I stood beside for over a decade.”
Reflecting on his past, he added: “I made a lot of mistakes growing up. Said dumb sh*t, was a mess in a lot of ways. But when I met my wife and especially when I found out my son was on the way, everything changed. I knew I had to put my growth into overdrive so he’d never carry the same burdens. My mission is to give him good habits, love, and strength so he can live a beautiful life. This lie doesn’t just hurt me, it hurts my family, and most of all my son. I’ll fight every day to make sure he grows up knowing the truth.”
FaZe Rain apologizes to Temperrr & retracts accusations
On September 16, Rain uploaded a video to social media, where he formally retracted his accusations against Temperrr and apologized for the ordeal, saying he felt “so f**kin’ horrible” for the way things unfolded.
“It’s not fair to label someone as a pedophile, especially when they supposedly did not know this girl’s age,” Rain said. “I’ve known Tommy for 15 years, it’s not like he went around preying on young girls. …that’s why it was such a shock when he told me what he told me.”
“He just never told me that he didn’t know their ages. If he did, it would be a whole different story. …I do apologize for that. I do want to retract that label, because that label is so evil. We all agree that there’s no room for pedophiles in our world.”
Rain went on to say that he hadn’t eaten much or slept over the last few days due to the stress of the situation, saying it wasn’t “easy” on him, and that he was open to receiving criticism for what he’d said in regards to the accusations.
Temperrr responds to Rain’s apology video
Temperrr reposted Rain’s video on X, where he acknowledged his former teammate’s apology, but maintained that his accusations were ‘life-ruining’ for him.
“I’m glad we can agree I don’t deserve this label. Thanks for the apology, I guess? Thanks for ruining my life.”
Fans’ reactions to Temperrr’s response have been mixed, and it remains to be seen what Temperrr’s future with FaZe will look like in light of these developments.
