Burger King has rolled out a nostalgic treat for fans with its new Cartoon Network toys, available with King Jr. meals – but for worldwide cartoon fans, there’s a disappointing catch.
On March 19, Burger King unveiled a delightful dose of nostalgia with the release of 10 Cartoon Network figurines in their King Jr. meals.
Featuring iconic characters from beloved shows, these toys are sure to stir memories for fans who grew up watching classics like Johnny Bravo, The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory, Cow and Chicken, Ben 10, Courage the Cowardly Dog, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, and more.
The announcement has fans reminiscing and eager to collect these vibrant reminders of their favorite childhood cartoons.
Burger King Brazil took to Instagram to share the news, explaining that the toys come included with the King Jr. meal, which features a sandwich, fries, juice, and one toy. Alternatively, the toys can be purchased separately, depending on availability.
Excited fans in Brazil flooded the comments with enthusiasm, thrilled at the chance to relive their childhood memories. However, there’s one detail that has left fans in other countries less than thrilled: the toys are currently only available in Brazil.
Disappointed Cartoon Network fans around the globe voiced their frustration on social media. “Why can’t we get cool stuff like this?” one fan wrote on X. “I would’ve loved this here. BK America you need to bring back the awesome toys,” another said.
A third commented, “Just Brazil? Come on the USA deserves one too tons of American Cartoon Network fans would get a hold of these.” Others joked about turning to eBay or Amazon to snag the collectibles.
