McDonald’s finally has a release date for its McCrispy strips, the main ingredient in the upcoming Snack Wrap’s return.

After listening to fans beg for years, McDonald’s finally revealed back in December that the snack wraps will return to restaurants around the US in 2025.

The company revealed a new chicken strip based on its existing McCrispy sandwiches shortly after, leaving many to believe it’s going to be what’s inside the new item.

McDonald’s narrowed down the snack wrap’s launch in a post on April 15, and now we finally have a release date for its new McCrispy Strips.

McCrispy strips are coming soon

According to McDonald’s Senior Marketing Director Guillaume Huin, McCrispy Strips’ official release date is May 5, 2025. However, all stores should have them available by April 29.

“The McCrispy Strips arrive at McD on 5.5. If you liked the Selects, wait until you try those,” he said. “You can order by 3 or 4, à la carte or as a meal. A new Creamy Chili McCrispy Strip Dip signature sauce also drops 5.5. The taste is as good as the name is unnecessarily long.

“The McCrispy Strips are crunchy, juicy, but what I like the most about it, it’s their peppery notes. Pure magic. The Creamy Chili sauce is one of my favorites we have launched recently, alongside the Nether Flame sauce and the JJK Black Garlic Sauce. It’s a creamy, light red sauce, slightly tangy, sweet with a hint of chili pepper heat, and a nutty toasted sesame finish. Voilà.”

This announcement has many wondering if the Snack Wraps launch will be sooner rather than later. McDonald’s revealed that they will be released sometime before September 14, 2025, in a post on X where they shared a date – 0x.14.25.
