Fortnite Festival’s next headliner will be dripping in 24K Magic: Bruno Mars is debuting as Season 9’s official star.
Fortnite Festival has grown into one of the game’s most popular modes, transforming Fortnite into a music-driven experience where players perform songs in rhythm-game style, developed by the team behind Rock Band, Harmonix.
Past headliners have included global superstars such as The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Metallica, Snoop Dogg, Hatsune Miku, and, most recently, Sabrina Carpenter.
Leaks made the rounds in the Fortnite community, anticipating that Bruno Mars could be stepping up as the next Season 9 headliner. Then, Fortnite made it official through X.
Bruno Mars becomes the next Fortnite Festival headliner
After dataminers uncovered unreleased Bruno Mars content in the game files, Fortnite posted on X:
Mars is about to shine again: this time front and center.
Bruno Mars isn’t new to Fortnite. He originally entered the game during Chapter 3 Season 1 through the Silk Sonic collaboration with Anderson .Paak. That crossover brought an Icon Series skin and a set of Jam Tracks featuring songs from 24K Magic and An Evening With Silk Sonic.
Now, with Season 9 rumored to begin around June 20, 2025, players are speculating that a new Festival Pass featuring Bruno could include a fresh solo skin, themed cosmetics, and possibly never-before-seen Jam Tracks from his rumored upcoming album.
Sure, it’s a Fortnite Festival announcement, but skins and emotes trascend to pretty much every other mode. In the past skins like Sabrina Carpenter’s have completely reshaped the gameplay; spotting a fellow Sabrina skin player essentially called for an immediate ceasefire and group dancing. It’ll be interesting to see if Bruno’s arrival will drive the community to do something similar.
