Instead of more superheroes, this time it’s all about a military force going up against a full-blown bug invasion. With major crossovers like Halo Spartans, futuristic new weapons, and corrupted map changes, the new season delivers a fresh theme and gameplay direction.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 launches on August 7, 2025.
Epic’s teaser schedule and in-game countdowns suggest a global rollout between August 7 and 8 depending on region and downtime length.

The Battle Pass includes a mix of original and crossover skins:

- Battle Gamer Mae: A gamer-themed fighter with OXR gear
- Lt. Ripp Slade: Red-armored military operator
- Onyx Winter: Fierce OXR general with a tactical cape

Players who own the Battle Pass can also unlock the Dino Megazord Outfit by completing special quests starting September 16.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 new weapons
The season introduces a full OXR arsenal, including:
- Bug Blaster: Plasma cannon that fires charged or rapid explosive shots
- Swarmstrike Launcher: Laser-guided rocket launcher that homes in on enemies
- Leadspitter 3000: Triple quad-barrel minigun for heavy suppression
- Sweeper Shotgun and Wrecker Revolver: High-damage, short-range options
- OXR Rifle: A modular sci-fi tactical rifle
Later this season, the Blade Blaster from Power Rangers will be added to the loot pool.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 map changes
The Island has been partially overrun by alien bug nests, bringing multiple corrupted zones and three major POI changes:
- The Hive: An infested nightmare zone filled with Swarmer and Bomber bugs. Not for the faint of heart.
- OXR HQ: A fortified base where players can stock up on gear, complete missions, and buy upgrades with Bars.
- Ranger’s Ruin: A fallen weapons lab turned high-loot danger zone.
Map visuals now include purple goop, hive growths, barricades, and terrain reshaped by the infestation.

The first teaser for Chapter 6 Season 4 was posted on August 2. It shows two spartans from Halo dealing with a tentacly threat.
