Mining Fortnite’s Gold Veins is a great way to earn some extra Gold Bars. Here’s where you can find them as well as how to mine them.
Fortnite’s current chapter may revolve around robbing vaults scattered all over the map, but if you’re constantly doing so just to recklessly spend your Gold Bars in the next match, then you’ll find yourself running out of cash real quick.
To add to this, breaking into vaults isn’t always the safest option when it comes to getting your hands on Gold, even when the loot inside is very tempting. This is where Gold Veins come in handy.
The only problem is that these can be tricky to find if you’re unsure where to look. So, if you want to mine Gold Veins for that sweet extra gold, you’ll want to check out these locations below.
Where to find Gold Veins

Gold Veins are found near the gold-infused rivers around the Outlaw Oasis, Crime City, and Shiny Shafts POIs. These are located in the midwestern part of the map, where you’ll be able to see golden mountains and rocks.
Not to be confused with the golden structures or stones, Gold Veins are essentially smaller and appear in clusters on the ground.
How to mine Gold Veins in Fortnite

Gold veins can be mined; each rock gives you around 30 gold bars. To mine them, all you need to do is switch your weapon to your pickaxe and start damaging it until it breaks.
Since one spot can have multiple of them, you should be able to rack some more Gold Bars easily. Another thing you can get after mining them is the Gold Rush effect, which gives you a movement boost for a short period of time.
