As part of the new Star Wars season in Fortnite, players can pick up some Baby Yoda Crocs for their character. However, they cost the same as an entire Battle Pass full of skins and cosmetics.
Fortnite Galactic Battle is finally live, bringing the biggest Star Wars crossover yet to the island. The map is full of instantly recognizable landmarks, blaster weapons, and even characters from the iconic sci-fi universe.
As expected, there’s also a host of themed cosmetics to unlock. This includes a pair of Grogu Crocs, but the price has left some players frustrated.
Fortnite players stunned by cost of Grogu Crocs

After the Galactic Battle update went live on May 2, a pair of Kicks were added to the store named “Crocs Classic Clog ‘Star Wars Grogu,’ continuing Epic’s collaboration with the popular footwear company. They came with two other pairs, which form a bundle.
However, these shoes, which feature Baby Yoda’s face and adorable ears on the front, will set you back 1,000 V-Bucks. This equates to around $10 and is also the same as the Fortnite Battle Pass costs every season.
This means that players could get seven pages worth of skins and other items, including Emperor Palpatine and Poe Dameron, for the exact same cost as just one pair of Crocs.
It’s not unusual for Kicks to come in at this price point, with many of the Nike Air shoes also selling for 1,000 V-Bucks, but this was clearly a step too far for some players.

“Hm…a difficult choice for sure,” joked one Reddit user, posting the prices of both the Crocs and Battle Pass. And they were far from alone.

“Those crocs should be like 200-500 V-Bucks. It’s crazy that if you want those Crocs you have to pay $10,” said one reply.
“What’s sad is I actually wanna buy kicks, but they’re too expensive,” added another.
As some players pointed out, it’s possible to earn enough V-Bucks from the Battle Pass to be able to buy the Crocs. However, there’s no guarantee that the shoes will still be around by the time you get to the level required.
This is hardly the first time this issue has come up either, as players have criticized the price of Kicks ever since they were released back
