Warner Bros.Peacemaker, the DC antihero, is finally coming to Fortnite, according to newly decrypted files.
Peacemaker had never officially joined Fortnite before, despite other DC characters being added over the years. The game has seen collaborations with Superman, Batman, Harley Quinn, and even John Cena in WWE form.
DC heroes and villains have always performed well in the shop, so rumors of Peacemaker’s arrival fit right into Fortnite’s history. Plus, with the show’s second season airing through September, the timing feels perfect. Epic Games leaned into pop culture more than any other live service shooter, cementing its edge.
Peacemaker skin decrypted in Fortnite files
According to reliable Fortnite leakers like HYPEX and shiina, the Peacemaker outfit was decrypted in the files earlier this week. This usually means the skin is complete, and Epic Games has already pushed it to servers.
Decryption usually signals that a cosmetic is only days or weeks from appearing in the Item Shop. Screenshots showed both the helmetless and helmeted variants, confirming that players will be able to swap between the looks.
The design quickly drew comments online. Some players laughed at the resemblance to a “budget John Cena superhero,” while others praised the authentic details. One virtal reply read, “Peacemaker with the mammoth gun coming soon 🔥.”
Many pointed out the face model isn’t the same as the already available John Cena skin, which has been available since 2022.
Fortnite’s community often calls out skins with potential competitive advantages, so expect Epic to adjust if needed. Release timing is not official, but with the outfit decrypted, it could land as early as next week.
