Finding the Druid and collecting three mossberries in Hollow Knight: Silksong is one of the game’s first big side quests.
It’s the kind of task that perfectly captures Team Cherry’s love of secrets, exploration, and small payoffs that turn out to matter later. I’ll admit, I got hooked instantly. I told myself I’d just peek around Moss Grotto for a bit, and suddenly it was way past midnight and I was still combing vines for glowing berries.
If you’re struggling to track them down, or just want to cut straight to the reward, here’s exactly where to go.
Where is the Druid in Silksong

The Druid is located in Mosshome, Silksong’s lush early game region filled with vines, spores, and tough enemies.
With the elevator
If you’ve already been to Moss Grotto and are starting from Dirtmouth, particularly after accepting the Bery Picking Wish, you can get to the Druid much quicker.
- Ride the elevator to the Moss Grotto and start climbing up.
- When you reach the sign pointing downward, take a right to enter Mosshome.
- Hop on the platforms to the right and stick to the higher platforms as you continue your way east.
- Briefly enter the Marrow to access the area above the bench. Then, head to the left.
- Make your way past the snail enemies to the left, climbing onto the platforms above the ground.
- Leave this area through the exit above you.
- This area is full of traps, so be mindful of the spikes you trigger.
- Stick to the right past a carved wood sign. If you haven’t unlocked the Silkspear skill yet, climb up and take it.
- If you have the Silkspear skill, just walk straight to the next area to the right and use the skill to open up the way.
Without the elevator
If you haven’t unlocked the elevator east of Dirtmouth, follow these steps:
- Head the exit east and enter The Marrow.
- Here, climb your way upward and to the left until you find the map merchant (or the area where she used to be).
- To her left, there are three paths that lead to Mosshome; take the topmost exit.
How to find 3 Mossberries
Mossberry #1

Shortly after Hornet breaks out of her prison, you can find the first Mossberry.
From the prison location, progress to the left past the lake, climb up, and then move through the higher platforms to the right.
Eventually, you’ll see a fork in the road: one path goes up, and one continues at ground level. Follow the path that leads up to find your first Mossberry.
Mossberry #2

A little deeper in, at the top of a tall room to the right. I’m sure you saw this one but didn’t know how to reach it.

You’ll need to pogo on the flying bug to reach it. To pogo, jump above an enemy, press down on the D-pad, and hit the attack button (Square on PS).
The way I did this was by standing on the platform on the left, waiting for the bug to come near me, and then pogoing it to reach the berry.
If the bug dies, you can always exit left and re-enter this area. And if this gives you too much trouble, wait until you unlock the Dash skill and come back.
Mossberry #3

To find the third and last Mossberry, head to the Elevator’s location in Mosshome. Here, you’ll hear a strange noise. Look down to spot a flying bug carrying the Mossberry.
The way I grabbed it was by standing on the first platform to the elevator’s right and waiting for the flying bug to pass by. On its way from right to left, it flies much higher and is easy to reach with a pogo hit. That said, I had to repeat this about three times for it to finally drop the berry.
Bery Picking Wish reward

As a reward for granting his wish, the Druid rewards you Druid’s Eye amulet, which you can equip on the left-side slot of the inventory at any bench.
It causes green elixir to drop when Hornet takes damage; picking it up restores a small amount of Silk, making it a useful early-game safety net while you’re still trading hits and learning enemy patterns.
As long as Steam doesn’t break again, you should be able to enjoy the full game alongside all other half a million players.
