Baizhu is a 5-star Dendro character in Genshin Impact who can be a great healer on your team. Here’s how to effectively build him.

Baizhu appeared to players pretty early in the Genshin Impact storyline. However, he didn’t become a playable character until the version 3.6 update in May 2023.

Baizhu is a 5-star Catalyst user who can provide party healing and off-field Dendro application. Despite his ability to heal and shield characters, Baizhu does have a high energy requirement.

Baizhu abilities in Genshin Impact

Normal Attack: The Classics of Acupuncture

• Normal Attack: Performs up to 4 attacks that deal Dendro DMG to opponents in front of him.
• Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to deal AoE Dendro DMG to opponents in front of him after a short casting time.
• Plunging Attack: Calling upon the might of Dendro, Baizhu plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in his path. Deals AoE Dendro DMG upon impact with the ground.

Elemental Skill: Universal Diagnosis

Controls a Gossamer Sprite that cruises and attacks nearby opponents, dealing Dendro DMG. After it performs 3 attacks or if there are no opponents nearby, the Sprite will return, healing all nearby party members based on Baizhu’s Max HP.

Elemental Burst: Holistic Revivification

Enters the Pulsing Clarity state, creating a Seamless Shield. While in this state, Baizhu will generate a new Seamless Shield every 2 seconds.

The Seamless Shield will unleash a Spiritvein to heal the active character(s) based on Baizhu’s Max HP and attack opponents, dealing Dendro DMG under the following circumstances:

• When a character is under the protection of a Seamless Shield and a new Seamless Shield is generated.
• When the Seamless Shield’s effects expire, or when it is shattered.

Baizhu Constellations in Genshin Impact

• Attentive Observation (C1): Universal Diagnosis gains one additional charge.
• Incisive Discernment (C2): When the active character hits a nearby enemy, Baizhu will unleash a Gossamer Sprite: Splice. This will initiate one attack before returning, dealing 250% of Baizhu’s attack as Dendro damage and healing for 20% of the Gossamer Sprite’s normal healing. This is considered Elemental Skill damage, and can be triggered once every five seconds.
• All Aspects Stabilized (C3): Increases the Level of Holistic Revivification by three, with a maximum upgrade level of 15.
• Ancient Art of Perception (C4): Baizhu will increase all nearby party members’ Elemental Mastery by 80 for one second after Holistic Revivification is used.
• The Hidden Ebb and Flow (C5): Increases the Level of Universal Diagnosis by three, with a maximum upgrade level of 15.
• Elimination of Malicious Qi (C6): Increases the damage dealt by Holistic Revivification’s Spiritveins by 8% of Baizhu’s Max HP. Additionally, when a Gossamer Sprite or Gossamer Sprite: Splice hits enemies, one of Holistic Revivification’s Seamless Shields will activate. This effect can only be triggered once by each Sprite.

Best Baizhu Artifacts in Genshin Impact

There are several options to choose from for Baizhu’s best Artifact set. We recommend running the 4-piece Deepwood Memories for a Dendro DMG Bonus and a decrease in opponents’ Dendro RES. This works well for Dendro application and for Baizhu to heal and shield the party.

If you want Baizhu to focus on healing, you could go with the 4-piece Ocean-Hued Clam. This set grants the character a Healing Bonus and deals damage to enemies according to the amount of health healed.

Lastly, the 4-piece Noblesse Oblige set works well for many characters, including Baizhu, for its Elemental Burst DMG and ATK bonus.

Deepwood Memories	2-piece: Dendro DMG Bonus +15% 4-piece: After Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents, the targets’ Dendro RES will be decreased by 30% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is not on the field.
Ocean-Hued Clam	2-piece: Healing Bonus +15% 4-piece: When the character with this artifact set heals a party member, 1 Foam will appear. It accumulates healed HP for 3 seconds, then explodes and deals 90% of the HP healed as DMG to nearby enemies. Max accumulated healing is 30,000 HP, including over-heal. There can only be 1 Foam active, but it stays even if you swap out. Foam CD is 3.5s.
Noblesse Oblige	2-piece: Elemental Burst DMG +20%. 4-piece: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members’ ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.

Best Baizhu weapons in Genshin Impact

The best weapon for Baizhu is his signature 5-star Jadefall’s Splendor. It is excellent at restoring energy and providing an Elemental DMG bonus after using an Elemental Burst or creating a shield. The Elemental DMG Bonus scales on every 1,000 Max HP of a character’s health, stacking up to 12%.

If you weren’t lucky enough to pull Baizhu’s 5-star weapon, we recommend the 4-star Favonius Codex. After a critical hit, Baizhu has a 60% chance to regenerate six energy. This effect can only occur every 12 seconds.

Lastly, we suggest running the 4-star Prototype Amber Catalyst on Baizhu. After using his Elemental Burst, Baizhu can regenerate four Energy every two seconds for six seconds. This effect also regenerates all party members’ health by 4% every two seconds.

Jadefall’s Splendor	For 3s after using an Elemental Burst or creating a shield, the equipping character can gain the Primordial Jade Regalia effect: Restore 4.5 Energy every 2.5s, and gain 0.3% Elemental DMG Bonus for their corresponding Elemental Type for every 1,000 Max HP they possess, up to 12%. Primordial Jade Regalia will still take effect even if the equipping character is not on the field.
Favonius Codex	CRIT Hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s.
Prototype Amber	Using an Elemental Burst regenerates 4 Energy every 2s for 6s. Additionally, all party members will regenerate 4% HP every 2s for this duration.

Best Baizhu team comp in Genshin Impact

Baizhu performs excellently on a team comp focused on the Hyperbloom Elemental Reaction. We recommend placing him alongside party members like Cyno, Nahida, and Yelan. This combination allows Baizhu to act as a Support while the three remaining characters dish out damage.

While you can swap out characters you don’t have, we highly suggest placing a second Dendro character on your team for Elemental Resonance. Another team comp that includes three 4-star instead of all 5-star characters is Baizhu, Kaveh, Kuki Shinobu, and Xingqiu.
