No, Schedule 1 does not have official controller support in its early access phase.
That means if you plug in an Xbox or PlayStation controller, it won’t work seamlessly like it does in some other games. However, there’s a workaround.
Can you play Schedule 1 with a controller?
Yes, but with a workaround. If you’re playing on Steam Deck, the game already runs well, and Steam’s built-in input customization lets you map controls to your liking.
Here’s how you can set up a controller for Schedule 1:
Dexerto- Make sure the game isn’t running.
- Go to your Steam Library, right-click Schedule 1, and select Properties.
- In the Controller tab, set “Enable Steam Input” under “Override for Schedule 1.”
- Click on Controller Configurator in the same tab.
- Open Browse Community Layouts.
- Select the “Keyboard (WASD) and Mouse” template.
- Choose the “Hallway Crooks” community layout (or a top-rated one).
- Click “Apply Layout”.
This will let you use a controller, with the right stick acting as a mouse. It may take some getting used to, but it works.

Will Schedule 1 have controller support?
The game’s developer has confirmed that official controller support is planned for the full release.
