Everything we know about Delta Force Season 5 ahead of console launch

delta force game

Delta Force has fully cemented itself into the FPS genre, bringing in hundreds of thousands of players to enjoy its regular seasons since entering open beta back in December 2024.

Each season brings new weapons, gear, operators, and, of course, quality of life changes to ensure everyone playing is getting the best experience possible. However, there’s one feature many have been calling for, its arrival on more platforms.

On April 21, 2025, the game launched onto mobile, but that wasn’t enough, as fans began wishing for Delta Force to be made available on console. So, if you’re planning on diving in and want to know what you can play the game on, or just more about the FPS, here’s everything you need to know.

Delta Force platforms

Delta Force is currently available on PC via Steam as well as mobile, so Android and iOS devices.

As of writing, Delta Force isn’t available on consoles, but the developer has previously confirmed that Xbox and PlayStation versions are in the works.

On June 25, the Delta Force X account teased the upcoming console release using just a few recognizable shapes, which can easily be attributed to the shapes on a PlayStation controller. Of course, this is purely a teaser, but it suggests Delta Force is coming to PlayStation soon.

They also backed up the notion that Xbox is coming at the same time, sharing a similar post on X using the Xbox controller buttons instead.

On June 18, 2025, footage of Delta Force running on console – specifically an Xbox Series, judging by the controller being used – surfaced on X/Twitter.

RoastSmith, an officially partnered content creator for Delta Force, suggested that console versions could be arriving with the start of Season 5 on July 9, although this date is not confirmed.

This has only been heightened by a post on the Delta Force Discord, which highlights that the developers are hosting an offline hands-on event for console players from June 30 to July 3 in the US.

Delta Force Season 5

Not much is known about Delta Force Season 5 right now, aside from a few leaks and the apparent arrival of console compatibility. Nevertheless, there are a few leaks, including new weapons, skins, gadgets, and so much more.

Release date

Delta Force Season 5 will be arriving on July 9 and will be available on PC and mobile… unless it comes to console on that day too.

New Operator

Delta Force Tempest operator

Tempest will be introduced to Delta Force in Season 5, proving to be an aggressive assault character with the following abilities:

Map

Thanks to the Season 5 Chinese test server, we know a new Prison map will likely be dropping in the upcoming season.

Brought into the Prison as a blindfolded hostage, be prepared to fight for your life in this new map, as it’s only available in Hard Mode. You begin with no gear and must escape the cell. Once you do, you can retrieve all your selected weapons and get into the match.

There are reportedly four levels with four big safes and four small safes dotted around the map for you to uncover. On top of that, there are three different extraction methods: Bagless extraction point, Helicopter extraction, and through the pipelines.

Weapons

Leaked by Dash on YouTube, it was revealed that the new weapons could be the following:

  • AM17 Assault Rifle
    • 33 base damage
    • 55 meter effective range
    • 740 RPM firerate
    • 575m/s muzzle velocity
    • 30-round base magazine
  • Compound Bow

Of course, these are purely leaks, so the stats and weapons are subject to change.

Skins

In terms of skins, players can expect a few more Mandlebrick weapon skins in season 5, particularly for the AUG and CI-19, though these aren’t in the test server yet, so take the leak with a pinch of salt.

As for operators, Zoya will be getting the next ultimate skin according to Dash, and Luna will be receiving a new skin, though it’s not known what rarity yet.

Gadgets

Thanks to those same leaks, players can also expect to see a Wire Guided Missile Launcher, which has been compared to Uluru’s ultimate, only it doesn’t feature delayed explosives.

The Wire Guided Missile Launcher will be perfect when taking down vehicles.

Does Delta Force have controller support?

Delta Force does not have official controller support on Android or iOS devices, but is playable on PC with controller support as of Season 4’s release on April 21.

Is it cross-platform?

Delta Force is cross-platform between mobile and PC, with cross-progression also available. One account can be used across all platforms to make universal progress.
