In the meantime, here’s a breakdown of each edition you’ll be able to pick up before the game’s release on February 18, 2022.

PS5 upgrade for Horizon Forbidden West
The standard edition of the game is exactly what you’d expect. Regardless of which system you buy it for, this version will only come with the base game and none of the extra bells and whistles.
After facing major blowback from fans over the initial PS4 to PS5 upgrade path (which required fans to shell out $10 more for the Digital Deluxe edition), Sony and Guerrilla reversed course and confirmed they would honor their original promise to fans. If you purchase the PS4 version of Horizon Forbidden West, you will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version at a later date for no extra cost.
