Imagine Dragons are best known for their music. After all, if you’ve watched Arcane or grown up in the early 2000’s then you’ve likely heard either Enemy or Radioactive, respectively (both of which I listened to while writing this). Well, now they’re making a video game, and no, it’s got nothing to do with music.
There’s been a fair amount of video games either inspired by or made by bands. But most of them lean towards being about music. Like Rockband. However, there are also a few that go completely away from that, which is where Last Flag comes in.
Officially announced back in 2023, Last Flag is shaping up to be a pretty impressive adventure that just so happens to be made by the hit band, Imagine Dragons. Here’s all you need to know about the game.
Does Last Flag have a release date?
Currently, no, Last Flag does not have a release date. However, it does have a release window and is scheduled to release at some time in 2026.
When we get a concrete release date, we’ll be sure to update this article, so check back soon for more details.
Demo
While there’s no release date yet, players can explore a demo of Last Flag between August 25 and September 1, as part of Steam’s Third Person Shooter Fest.

So, head to Steam, type in Last Flag Demo, and download the free demo to give the game a try.
Gameplay
Last Flag is a 5v5 multiplayer shooter, all based on the Capture The Flag gamemode, except you can hide your flag wherever you want, completely controlling the battlefield if you play it right.
Related
It’s set in a televised competition filled with teamwork, chaos, and, of course, plenty of combat and abilities.
As for its design, it looks more like Fortnite than it does Call of Duty, but still features plenty of wild weapons from shotguns and assault rifles to dual axes and bows and arrows.
Trailers
Last Flag was officially announced back in 2023 with an announcement trailer, featuring a view of the game’s 70s style, respawn mechanics, and a few of the game’s characters, like the Bounty Hunter, Soldier, Lumberjack, Weapons Engineer, Archer, and Scout. All with their own abilities.
Then, during Gamescom 2025, we were treated to a new gameplay reveal, showcasing the chaos you can expect and how the game works as players explore the adventure.
Lastly, on August 21, we got just under ten minutes of gameplay, featuring a view at the character abilities, battles, and maps.
Platforms
Currently, Last Flag is only available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
However, there are console versions planned to be released at a later date.
So, that’s all we know about Imagine Dragons’ Last Flag. While waiting for it to release, check out more games announced during Gamescom or Xbox at Gamescom.
