New cycling horror game looks like a mix of Silent Hill and Stranger Things

Dog in a basket on a bike

Quite a Ride blends Silent Hill f’s foggy environments with 80s horror classics, creating a unique twist where only your trusty bike can keep you safe.

2025 is shaping up to be a frighteningly good year for horror game enthusiasts, especially when it comes to titles with terrifying twists. While Eyes Never Wake uses your webcam so that its monsters can see you, and Dark Mass’s “fully underwater” environments are sure to scare, there’s a new creepy kid on the block.

Quite a Ride essentially takes Silent Hill f’s foggy environments, puts you on a bike, and forces you to cycle through its rural environments. However, this is no scenic jaunt through the countryside, instead, you’ll need to pedal to the medal, as you’re not alone in this eerily creepy world.

Misty cycling horror game brings plenty of chills

As noted by developer Alex Goodwin, “Quite a Ride is a game where you travel by bicycle through a foggy rural landscape filled with eerie secrets and monsters lurking in the dense mist.”

The brief trailer oozes classic 80s and 90s horror film vibes, and has otherworldly creatures that stalk its eerie environments. From gigantic tentacled enemies that float through the mist to fleshy, humanoid spiders that crawl along pathways — there’s plenty to fear.

These gruesome creatures wouldn’t look out of place in 80s horror classics like The Thing or Netflix’s Stranger Things. Unlike Silent Hill f, which will see players fearfully walk through its misty streets, Quite Ride will enable you to cycle through your surroundings.

Despite this unique twist, it appears that even your trusty bike won’t be enough to save you, as one enemy manages to run after the protagonist before lifting them into the air. Fortunately, the game does feature a cute canine companion, so cycling through these nightmarish environments is 100% worth it.

Quite a Ride doesn’t have a release date yet, but it will be released on PC. No console release has been announced. You can check out the game by heading over to its official Steam page.
