A Pokemon TCG Pocket fan who’s a glutton for punishment has developed their own Luck Calculator to give players an idea of their unfortunate pull rates.
Pokemon TCG Pocket has hooked its fair share of players with an addictive loop of collecting rare cards and using them in its PVP battles. Collecting the pieces you need comes down to how successful you are at pulling them from packs, however.
This can be particularly tough given how low the game’s pull rates for its rarer cards are. One of the most common complaints among players is how, even knowing the odds, they’re still failing to pick up the coveted crown rares.
For those who want to madden themselves further, there’s now a handy tool to tell you just how amazingly unlucky you are. A fan-made Pokemon TCG Pocket Luck Calculator will tell you just how unlikely your lack of success is.
The Pokemon TCG Pocket luck calculator tells some hard truths
From the twisted mind of Reddit user PorygonThree comes a calculation tool that lets you input the number of crown, one, two, and three-star rares you’ve pulled in Pokemon TCG Pocket. It then divides these against the number of packs you’ve opened to determine just how lucky (or unlucky) you’ve been.
Once it has the data, it will grade you on each individual rarity and provide feedback on your pull percentage. Its determinations range from ‘amazing’ to ‘terrible’ with options in between such as ‘somewhat good’ to ‘pretty average’.
There are some flaws in the data gathering as there’s no real way to determine whether or not some of your rare cards have come from Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Wonder Pick mechanic. Short of knowing those details yourself, you have to do a bit of guesswork.

In our own test, our two crown rares pulled from roughly 500 packs (don’t judge us) averaged out to be ‘somewhat good’ based on the game’s pull rates. Other players weren’t so fortunate with users in a Reddit thread showing off the tool, comparing their ‘terrible’ pull rates with one another. So, how lucky are you in Pokemon TCG pocket?
