Runescape Dragonwilds is the one game where goblins raid your camp more often than your WiFi disconnects. And while it should be frustrating, it’s actually been beautifully chaotic.
But after the game’s release into early access, the team is cracking down on raid spam, Velgar overload, and fixing more holes than a mining bot in Falador.
Let’s break down what’s coming on Runescape Dragonwilds’ first-ever update, Eye on Ashenfall.
You can check out the full patch notes here.

- Different raid groups remain, but the average frequency is now halved.
- Translation: Fewer green guys messing up your stuff.
Ghornfell base raids
- Grace period before raids can occur: now 12 days, up from 9.
- Chance to trigger every event tick dropped from 10% to 5%.
- Cooldown increased from 2 to 3.75 in-game days.
- More time to prep your defenses. Or ignore them. Your call.
Ghornfell “Being Hunted” events
- Chance halved from 10% to 5%.
- Cooldown increased from 1 to 2.25 in-game days.
- Stalkers, take a number. You’ll be seen less often.
Velgar events
- Meteor Barrages reduced from 5 to 2 per event.
- Poison Breath is now just poison strafing—no more guessing games.
- Velgar’s reign of annoyance is toned down significantly.
- You’re welcome, every solo player ever.
Combat tweaks
- Hostile AI (except Vault Guardians) can now be affected by Bleed.
Other fixes
- Multiple crash fixes.
- Map holes? Patched. No more surprise void jumps.
- XP rebalance for purifying water.
- Localization cleanup. Typos be gone!
- UI bugs squashed, including incorrect item names.
- More general stability fixes (again, not buildings – those still collapse dramatically).
Jagex promises this is just the start. Devs are actively monitoring feedback, especially around Bloom, graphics settings, and other major topics. Expect a bigger patch within two weeks, and yes, 0.8 content is still on the roadmap.
