YouTuber beats Hollow Knight & Silksong bosses at the same time with one controller

Hollow knight fight

It’s no secret that Hollow Knight is one of the toughest modern platformers to release, and its highly anticipated sequel, Silksong, is no different. Well, one player has decided to up that difficulty by playing both games at the same time.

From the moment Silksong was released, after years of hype, fans instantly took to challenging themselves on the game’s less-than-forgiving bosses. In fact, these bosses were so challenging that the developers, Team Cherry, had to issue a patch shortly after release to nerf some of the tougher fights and have recently addressed fans’ complaints.

Well, Silksong may be tough, but that’s mostly owed to the design of Hollow Knight, the first iteration. This game was extremely unforgiving and prompted fans to jump at the chance to complete speedruns, no-hit playthroughs, and challenge themselves as much as possible.

Now one player has taken that to a whole new level by playing both Hollow Knight and Silksong at the same time, on the same controller.

YouTuber beats Hollow Knight & Silksong bosses simultaneously

YouTuber HandowShandowed has been sharing a series of videos that show them completing Hollow Knight and Silksong simultaneously. Every button press controls both games at once, forcing them to dodge, strike, and survive against bosses in perfect sync.

So far, HandowShandowed has managed to pull off some wild fights. They’ve taken on the final bosses of both games at the same time, Lance and Hornet, Bell Beast and Massive Moss Charger, and even Moss Mother with False Knight.

The YouTuber hasn’t revealed exactly how they set up the challenge, but the footage looks authentic. The attack patterns, movement quirks, and timings feel entirely human, and the effort required to match these up and fool everyone would be harder than just completing the challenge itself, leading fans to believe the runs are legitimate rather than edited.

Despite managing to sync up with some of the hardest fights, HandowShandowed hasn’t claimed victory just yet. In the description of their most recent video, they admitted the road ahead only gets tougher, saying: “I think it probably just gets harder from here on out, so I’d do well to actually get good at Silksong’s bosses before I venture into anything crazy like Trobbio + Grimm.”

For now, it seems HandowShandowed is just warming up before attempting some of the most notorious boss combinations fans could imagine.
