Genshin Impact had an estimated average of over 17 million players in August, according to the data from ActivePlayer, a substantial increase from 14 million the previous month.
For the past three years, the gacha title has consistently had well over 20 million players logging in monthly in the majority of 2024 and in January of 2025. From February onwards, however, it’s estimated to have hovered between 11 and 17 million, making August 2025 the highest month this year since January.

However, Genshin is massively ahead of Arise regarding estimated player counts at the time of writing.
