10 things you missed in GTA 6 trailer 2 including big story clues and hidden Easter eggs

GTA 6’s second trailer provides almost 3 minutes of juicy gameplay footage, character introductions and location reveals to dive into, and there’s a lot to take in. Here are 10 details from trailer 2 that you probably missed.

Although delayed until May 26, 2026, the new Grand Theft Auto is reaching all-time high hype levels, largely thanks to the surprise release of a new trailer and website revealing more than ever before about what Rockstar is cooking.

Returning to Vice City, the Florida-inspired map is expected to be massive and full of life. So much was shown off in the trailer that it would be impossible to catch everything, so we’ve gone over it with a fine-tooth comb to pick out some easter eggs and clues about GTA 6.

Jason was a Paratrooper

We know Jason, one of the game’s two main protagonists did a short stint in the Army – Rockstar confirm as much on the website.

But, looking at his tattoo from one of the earliest shots in the trailer, it appears he was in some sort of parachute division.

Lucia has an ankle monitor

After her release from prison, you may have missed that Lucia has an ankle monitor attached.

It’s possible this will be used as a way to keep the story limited to a certain portion of the map early on, before having the monitor removed. Later in the trailer, she is no longer wearing it.

Metro system is back

In more than one shot in the trailer, we see the metro system in use, which we will almost certainly be able to use to get around the map.

You can see it overhead in this shot with the police action early in the trailer.

The PS5 is in GTA

Not only has Sony secured marketing rights to Grand Theft Auto 6, they are also featured in the game itself.

In this scene showing an Ammu-Nation ad on TV, we can see a PS5 to the left.

Beer has bubbles

In one of the more insane graphical details shown off in the trailer, the beers on the table have realistic bubbles floating to the surface.

Another impressive feature, especially considering this trailer was captured on base PS5, is reflections, which are stunning throughout on car windows and other surfaces.

A nod to GTA Vice City

Given this is a return to Vice City, first introduced in the 2002 classic, it won’t be a surprise to see lots of Easter eggs and homages to the ‘original’.

In one scene, Jason and Lucia retrieve weapons from the trunk of a car, just like Tommy and Lance Vance did.

RDR2 Presidents on the dollar

Keeping it within the Rockstar universe, the cash notes displayed in the trailer feature presidents that were also named in Red Dead Redemption 2 – Thaddeus Waxman and Franklin Hardin.

We expect there will be many other little Red Dead easter eggs in GTA 6 too.

Real-life Miami nightclub

Jason and Lucia are seen going to the “NINE 1 NINE” nightclub, which is very clearly based on the real-life E11EVEN nightclub in Miami.

We can certainly expect plenty more nods to real-life businesses and locations from around Miami in GTA 6.

There’s a mountain lion – and plenty more wildlife

We’ve already seen Flamingos and Gators in the first trailer, but in one shot here, we see a sneaky mountain lion prowling around the Mount Kalaga National Park.

Wildlife was in GTA 5 but wasn’t a very prominent story feature, so it will be interesting to see if it has more involvement in the story this time.

Lots of side activities

Not that it will be a surprise, but in the trailer we see what are likely many of the side-activities in the game, such as organized fights, fishing, pool, mini-golf, and even the gym. Perhaps we can make Jason even more jacked, like in San Andreas?

We can surely expect classic racing activities to also be available, like in almost every GTA game.
