YouTube/Nick OFF DutyFlorida Highway Patrol used parts of the first GTA 6 trailer to unveil a Corvette they seized from a drug dealer and added to their fleet.
A 2023 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray was transformed into a police vehicle and the authorities couldn’t help but use GTA 6 to help show it off.
On April 14, the Florida Highway Patrol along with police officer and YouTuber ‘Nick OFF Duty’ uploaded a video that began with a skit.
In the clip, a couple of men were in a car watching the GTA 6 trailer with Tom Petty’s ‘Love Is a Long Road’ playing in the background. GTA 6 takes place in the fictional state of Leonida, a stand-in for Florida.
“Hey man, I can’t wait till this drops,” the man in the passenger seat says as the camera showcases the VI logo.
“Why wait?” the other asks before revving the engine. “We can do this right now. Ain’t nobody catching us in this thing.”
Before the two could take off, however, the police in their new Corvette pull up, ending any sort of vehicular shenanigans.
Even Florida cops can’t wait for GTA 6
In the video, Florida Highway Patrol revealed that they seized the Corvette during an operation with the Drug Enforcement Agency Task Force.
This means that taxpayers weren’t on the hook for the acquisition of the car, but it did need some upgrading to be outfitted for patrol.

“The Florida Highway Patrol is ready for GTA 6 as it reveals for the first time to the world its brand new Chevy Corvette C8 fully outfitted for patrol,” Nick OFF Duty explained in the video description.

Hopefully, the cops, along with the rest of the GTA fandom, won’t have long to wait until they get their hands on VI.
GTA 6 is currently still slated to release in Fall 2025, but Rockstar has yet to confirm an exact date or announce any other details, such as the long-awaited second trailer.
