Rockstar GamesGTA 6 Trailer 2 gave us our best look yet at the long-awaited sequel’s main story and characters, and protagonist Jason Duval’s voice sounds pretty familiar.
After over a year of radio silence, GTA 6 news is coming thick and fast. First, it was announced that the game had been delayed from 2025 to May 26, 2026, and now, there’s a new trailer packed full of details to uncover.
Trailer 2 offers the most detailed look so far at the characters we’ll meet along the way, including our two Bonnie and Clyde-inspired protagonists – Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.
It looks as though we’ll be spending plenty of time with both over the course of the story, but there’s currently no word on who is voicing the duo. However, fans think they’ve already pinpointed the actor behind Jason.
GTA 6 fans think they know who is playing Jason Duval
After watching the new trailer, Jason’s voice instantly rang a bell for many fans. While we’re still waiting for an official cast list, the most likely candidate is Dylan Rourke, who you might know from episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and Modern Family.
As early as May 2024, fans noticed the similarities between Rourke’s voice and Jason from the leaked GTA 6 footage. Fan page ‘GTA 6 Countdown‘ even shared a video comparing the two, and it’s hard to deny that the two deep voices don’t sound almost identical.
Now that we have clearer audio of the character speaking, it’s done little to convince players that Rourke isn’t the actor. Plus, when you see both side-by-side, the pair look remarkably similar.

However, since there’s no confirmation just yet, there are a handful of other actors who sound very similar that some fans have also speculated could be Jason.
One of the most common among the Dexerto staff is The Punisher and The Bear star, Jon Bernthal. We weren’t alone either, as one player asked, “Is that Jon Bernthal?” on X immediately after the trailer was posted.
“Is it just me or does Jason look a bit like Jon Bernthal,” questioned another.
Some even speculated that a Rockstar veteran could be making a return, as Jason also has a similar look and tone to Red Dead Redemption’s Jon Marston, played by Rob Wiethoff. One Reddit user shared an image of the two next to each other, asking: “Am I tripping?”
All this being said, out of these three candidates, Dylan Rourke seems like the most likely. Not only does he look and sound the most like Jason, but leakers previously revealed that he had landed an unknown video game role back in 2019, around the time that development on GTA 6 started to ramp up.
