GTA 6 fans anticipating Rockstar to finally reveal new information about the long-awaited game and a second trailer have two new dates circled on their calendars.

Rockstar Games unveiled the first trailer for GTA 6 over 500 days ago back in December 2023 and since then, the studio has been completely quiet on all things VI-related.

The release date was narrowed down from just 2025 to Fall 2025, we still don’t know exactly when GTA 6 will be coming out, leading to much speculation of a possible delay.

While there have been plenty of rumors and theories about when more details will finally be revealed, nothing has been confirmed, but with at least one upcoming date, we’ll be guaranteed an update on Rockstar’s plans.

GTA 6 fans anticipate major news by May 15

In just a few short weeks, Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, will have its next earnings call.

While these investor calls are very business focused, they have given us some key details in the past, such as the Fall 2025 release window.

If GTA 6 is going to be delayed, chances are it’ll be confirmed in this May 15 call or before it. But make no mistake, GTA VI will absolutely be referenced and Take-Two will either double down on releasing the game in Fall 2025 or announce a delay.

“This is a pretty big call as it is when we will know for sure whether or not GTA 6 is coming out this year. If they still reiterate Fall 2025, then the chances of a delay are extremely slim,” one excited user wrote on X.

Is Rockstar eyeing this random holiday for GTA 6 news?

That said, there is another, albeit notable other date that some fans are pointing to that could coincide with an announcement.

As noted by user ‘elliethr’ on Reddit, April 22 could be when Rockstar announces the next trailer or unveils some sort of new details.

April 22 happens to be ‘Saint Leonidas Day’ and GTA 6 is confirmed to take place in the fictional state of Leonida, a stand-in for Florida.

Take this one with a major grain of salt and far less confirmation than the May 15 Take-Two earnings call, but given how dry the rumormill for GTA 6 has been lately, this isn’t the worst theory we’ve ever heard.

Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick has stated that a delay is “possible” but remains confident that the game will meet its previously-announced release window. In any case, we won’t have long to find out if GTA 6 is still slated for Fall 2025 or if it’ll be pushed back.
