GTA 6 leaker reveals when trailer 2 & release date might finally come

A new Grand Theft Auto 6 ‘leak’ has claimed to narrow down the release window for the new game, as well as the next trailer, but it’s slightly cryptic.

At the end of 2023, Rockstar Games finally gave the gaming world what it’s been waiting for – a first look at GTA 6. The 90-second-long trailer gave fans a look at Jason, Lucia, a modern-day Vice City, as well as some parts of the greater state of Leonida.

The end of the trailer also confirmed that the game would be released in 2025. No mention of a set month or holiday period, just 2025.

After dropping that trailer, Rockstar have gone back underground, staying quiet about all things Grand Theft Auto 6. They’ve left the talking to Take-Two, their publishers, who are “confident” that the game will be released before the end of the year. The silence, though, has only increased the furor around when it may release.

GTA 6 release date window named again by ‘leaked’

Those fans who don’t fear a delay until 2026 are quietly confident that the holiday period of 2025 – sometime before December – will hold the key.

Well, X account Detective Seeds – who has been correct about the Elder Scrolls Oblivion remake and tipped GTA 6 to have a partnership with PlayStation – has named a release window.

“Remember remember the middle of November,” he posted on April 10. On top of that, he also stated that the second trailer will come at the “end of May.”

The leaker has good news about Trailer 2 and GTA 6’s release window.

While the social media user isn’t exactly a renowned GTA leaker, there is plenty of logic to their claims.

Take-Two have stated that they’re looking at a shorter marketing window for the highly-anticipated game than normal and that the release won’t overlap with Mafia: The Old Country.

As noted, plenty of fans are looking towards November as being the big month. Rockstar have always used the September-December window for new GTA releases, so it makes sense. We’ll just have to wait and see as fans have already been burnt before on believing different dates.
