Rockstar Games has essentially confirmed GTA RP features will be coming to GTA 6 once the game finally launches next year.

GTA RP has taken the streaming world by storm, giving players a wild new way to experience the world of Los Santos in GTA Online through unique servers where users “roleplay” as their own characters.

While Rockstar has typically been quick to pull the plug on fan projects, they took a special interest in RP, even supporting the devs behind FiveM – the biggest GTA RP platform.

On September 23, the server nopixel announced “the next evolution of the GTA V Roleplay experience,” confirming they were collabing with Rockstar.

“Coming soon to the Rockstar Games Launcher and other PC platforms,” they said in a post that referenced popular streamers who partake in RP, such as xQc and Valkyrae.

According to nopixel, invites to this form of GTA RP were already being sent out, meaning that individuals will have the opportunity to test this new immersive roleplay experience. “Nopixel V will feature the most diverse and talented Creators yet. Access is limited, available by invitation only,” their website states.

Rockstar all but confirms big GTA 6 RP plans

The news was so massive that even Rockstar retweeted the announcement, hinting that there was more to come, especially with GTA 6 set to arrive on May 26, 2026.

“We’re excited to support the nopixel team as they create the future of GTA RP,” they said.

Notably, Rockstar didn’t limit their wording to just GTA 5, indicating that they had plans beyond just the current version of GTA Online.

So far, the studio has remained mum about what the VI’s iteration of GTA Online will look like, and aside from two trailers and some brief info, we’re still waiting for a massive drop for GTA 6 news.

Expect to learn more about Online once the devs finally reveal more details about the single-player experience and gameplay.

With VI still a few months away, pending another delay, there’s ample time for the studio to continue building up the hype.

In a recent job listing, Rockstar even said that GTA 6 “will be the largest game launch in history” and having RP built into GTA Online from the jump will surely be another big way to shake up the multiplayer experience.
