UFC President Dana White had some surprising words to say about Kick star Adin Ross’s first cage fighting event after attending it in person.
Adin Ross has been getting into the fight game with his Brand Risk Promotions boxing events – but on April 11, he started hosted MMA bouts inside a cage.
Afer attending the UFC 314 ceremonial weigh-ins in Miami, Dana White went to Ross’s event, where fighters like The Island Boys’ Kodiyakredd got KO’d.
While speaking with White on stream, Ross admitted that putting on an MMA event was harder than boxing and asked the UFC boss for some advice. White didn’t hold back, but he didn’t outright dismiss Ross’s ambitious efforts, either.
Dana White says Adin Ross is doing better than UFC rivals
White immediately told Ross that the best thing he could do was “stay out of this business,” which got a laugh out of the Kick streamer.
“It’s not as easy as it looks,” he added as per Bloody Elbow, before Ross remarked about potentially going back to boxing.
Despite his initial warning, during a different segment of the event, White offered up some praise for Ross, especially when it comes to competing with other promotions.
“Listen, you’ve put on a show. The place is packed, people are here hanging, you’ve got half a million people on stream, you’ve got Drake hitting you up about it. I think you’re doing okay,” he said.
According to Dana, Ross was already doing a better job at generating interest than any of the UFC’s main competitors, such as the PFL.

“That’s more than every other one of our f**king competitors got going on, I can tell you that right now. If you look at any of our competitors that try to compete against us, you’ve got more sh*t going on here than they do.”

UFC Chief business officer Hunter Campbell backed up White’s statement about Ross’s event performing better on Kick than the company’s opponents do.
“You have more viewers than I think anybody that’s competing with the UFC does right now,” he explained.
We’ll have to see what Adin’s Brand Risk Promotions looks like once it has a few more cage fights under its belt, but so far, things are looking good for the Kick streamer’s venture into combat sports.
