LEC Summer 2022 Playoffs: Rogue claim their first LEC Championship with 3-0 victory versus G2 Esport

After an incredible split, Rogue have claimed their first-ever LEC title and will represent the LEC as its first seed at the 2022 World Championships.

10 teams entered, and only one remains.

It’s been another incredible season of European League of Legends, but now the finals are well and truly upon us. And after a surprise 3-1 victory against Fnatic for a finals spot, Rogue have swept the weekend against G2 and secured their first-ever LEC Championship title.

Fnatic and MAD Lions are now locked in as the LEC’s Worlds play-ins representatives, while Rogue and G2 will start straight into groups.

This has been an unprecedented season for Rogue. With their third LEC final and first LEC title, they will go to Worlds as Europe’s first seed, and will defend the region’s pride against some of the world’s greatest teams.

LEC Summer 2022: Teams & players

10 teams will take part in LEC Summer 2022. There haven’t been many major roster moves between the two splits, but that doesn’t mean none occurred.

Team BDS made some changes after a disappointing LEC debut, benching top laner Adam and juggling between LIMIT and Erdote in support. Nisqy moved over to MAD Lions after a split on the bench, while Vizicsacsi and Xerxe are back in the LEC with Astralis. Misfits made the swap to Zanzarah late in the season with some great results.
