Dexerto / NeteaseMarvel Rivals has released a brand new feature, allowing you to customize your heroes with select color palettes and designs – but who can you change and how do you do it?
Since the release of Season 2, which dramatically shook up the meta with the arrival of S-tier fighter Emma Frost, Marvel Rivals has been throwing out new features for players to enjoy. Whether it’s the current event’s tricky challenges or the brand new ability to customize costumes, it’s clear MR players are eating well this season.
So, if you’re looking to make your favorite hero a little more unique, here’s how to customize their costumes, all the available skins you can change, and whether the new feature is free or whether you’ll have to part with some premium currency or cash.
How to customize costumes in Marvel Rivals
Thankfully, customizing your hero’s costume color is pretty simple in Marvel Rivals. All you need to do is follow the steps below:
- Head to the Hero tab.

- Click on the skin you want to change.
- Select Customize.
Dexerto / Netease- Select the available color combo and purchase it.
- Select it again to apply it.
Dexerto / NeteaseIf you’re not happy with the color, then you can always change it later by following the same steps and simply choosing another option.
All available skins
Currently, there are four available color palettes to choose from on four different heroes:
- Winter Soldier: Winter’s Wrath
- Luna Snow: Plasma Pulse
- Magik: Rosy Resilience
- Psylocke: Phantom Purple
As highlighted by Marvel Rivals, there’s every intention to add more color palettes to more heroes as time goes on.
Are Skin Customizations free?
Unfortunately, no, customizing your hero’s skin isn’t free. Instead, it will cost 600 Unstable Molecules, which can be exchanged from Lattice at a 1:1 ratio.
This was explained by Netease themselves on X, who went on to say that you need to obtain the costumes before they’re able to be customized.
