Not all Marvel Rivals heroes are created equal. And I don’t mean that in the “Magneto is a better tank than Strange” kind of way. I mean some are easier to grasp than others.
But regardless of playstyle, truly mastering a hero demands dedication, patience, and hours of play. Reaching their ceiling means serious practice – perfecting movement, timing abilities, and maybe even tweaking crosshairs (or grabbing ours).
And sometimes, it means gathering around the metaphorical campfire and sharing game-changing discoveries. Lord-ranked players know the grind. It takes at least 15 hours, probably more.
And those who get there, they’ve got wisdom to share.

What you didn’t know about these Marvel Rivals heroes
Players are spilling their hard-earned secrets. Minor tweaks, major breakthroughs. Some of these discoveries change everything. And I’ve just selected the best of them. Enjoy the amplifier!
One player reported, “After 250 hours, I noticed Jeff had a permanent 50% headshot resistance” while another claimed, “Shooting any Hulk bubble gives him free ult charge.”
A third player discovered, “Namor’s ult stops movement abilities before the fish lands,” adding a new layer to his strategy.
Someone shared, “Iron Fist has 30% damage reduction after blocking,” a detail that can shift the outcome of a fight.
One tipster noted, “Magik’s sword has fall-off damage. At max range (6.5m), she only does 50% of the damage” and another player revealed, “Invisible Woman’s shield slows enemies that pass through it,” an added effect that can catch opponents off guard.
A Peni main warned, “Enemies in her big web nest just need to jump and the tiny spider mines immediately stop following them,” a trick that can disrupt plans. I still don’t trust those unnerfed mines, folks.

One player mentioned, “Pulling a tank off the map gives Spider-Man nearly 30% of his ult charge” while a Cloak and Dagger main pointed out, “You can heal yourself with the AoE if you stand as closely as possible to a teammate while you heal them,” a tactic that can optimize healing.
Finally, a Squirrel Girl player admitted, “I had no idea you could charge Squirrel Girl’s right-click for the longest time,” proving even the pros sometimes miss the basics.
Listen, it’s fine. I didn’t know pressing V triggered a melee attack for the first 100 hours of gameplay.
Maybe it’s not fine.
I didn’t find anything for my girl Luna, so here’s one from me. Hit shift for buffed clap heals, then right-click quickly to freeze someone. The “Ice Up!” animation cancels, and you save crucial healing time. Disclaimer: This will not prevent ungrateful teammates from going “gg no heals” if they wish to.
One Above All players probably have it all figured out. But for the rest of us, there’s still a long way to go. Don’t mind me, I’ll just be here studying every enemy and ally Ult line like it’s my full-time job, so I can tell exactly when my Star-Lord decides to ult and when it’s time to bust out the dance moves.
