Streaming star Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel has called on Marvel Rivals to make a big change in order to combat sniper streams, and its something other games have already done.

Over the last few months, Marvel Rivals has dominated as the Overwatch replacement that many streamers have been looking for. The hero shooter, which involves many of Marvel’s top superheroes and characters, has seen creators from all corners having a go, but it is those who were previously dominant in Overwatch that have had the most success.

That includes xQc, a former Overwatch League star and Overwatch World Cup MVP, who has dipped in and out of Marvel Rivals.

He has already jumped up to the Eternity ranks, the highest levels in the game, but he is still impacted by stream snipers wanting to drag him down.

xQc wants 2FA on Marvel Rivals accounts in top ranks

To combat that, the Twitch and KICK star wants Marvel Rivals to follow Overwatch with some additional security measures.

“They should have it so you have to have 2FA and phone verification to be in the top 500,” he said. “In order to play at this rank, you should have phone verification, it is needed. Overwatch did it, everyone did it, and they need to do it.”

xQc went further too, suggesting that players should have their Social Security Number, or similar identification, linked to their gaming profiles. “I’ve always been in favor of having my Social Security Number on my gaming accounts,” he said.

Despite some arguments from viewers that it would be an “invasion of privacy,” xQc said: “If you don’t want to play the game, don’t play the game. If you don’t want to do it, don’t play the game.
